Just got this pump. the union slip looks to be 1 1/2" but standard pvc is 1/16" too small. sloppy. is this metric? adaptor? it is not standard 1 1/2"

I ran into the same problem and I didn’t use the union and hard plumbed it.

6 to 8” wide and about 12-14” long

Manual says air switch capable, but I don't see any connection on the pump?

You can use it for air. However, it's miss leading. It can only be used for one or the other, if it's hooked up to water then it's only a pump. Or you can hook it up for air and just use it that way without it overheating. So the air pressure sucks.
