ACME 211.5 Classic Dog Whistle - Black - With Lanyard

The perfect item for dog training and recall. Our black Labrador is whistled trained and her recall is perfect. They are loud so she can be off over the field and still here me whistle. Instead of shouting her name and calling her which she ignores most the time. One blow of the whistle she's straight back to you. Using the whistle along side treats had my Labrador trained in no time at all. It probably helps that she's so food orientated. The lanyards and whistle are small, discrete and robust and the perfect size to slip in a pocket. They are great value for money and ours have lasted many years.

Very loud and does what it says on the tin. Unless you have two rescue dogs with what I thought was ok recall. Until they got under a gate and me blowing the whistle like some mental elderly train conductor. After running across two boggy fields and blowing this whistle, which fortunately the neighbour heard. The dogs, (alias at this stage cretins) stopped. She kindly asked if I was ok, at this stage thinking I was actually going to have a heart attack. Managed a nod of the head, collected said cretins, stomped back across the fields and launched said whistle in bin

Got this for our puppy’s recoil training - as he wasn't taking notice of our voice. So far so good, seems to be doing the job (only time will tell). Well made, and comes with a lanyard.. Bonus...

I was sceptical about buying a plazzy whistle, but Acme is a respected brand (let's face it, if Acme products are good enough for Wile E Coyote, they're good enough for me!), and reviews were positive, so I bought one (211.5 pitch - evidently the sweet spot for both dogs and humans to hear). I needn't have worried. This thing is loud and shrill. Works a treat and gets the dog's attention each time it's used - however far away he's gone. A great training aid. You can teach them to respond to different series of peeps, depending on what you are teaching them to do, ie one long peep = "come here", two short peeps = "wait", three peeps = "sit" etc etc. Would definitely recommend.

These are not cheap whistles but i am guessing that the people buying them are doing so because they want what it specifically has to offer. Whilst our cocker spaniel will recall to any whistle type or tone, this one has been designed to whistle at a frequency appropriate for our dog. Did it make a big impact to us- no. However if you are training a gun dog or any dog to a whistle to this tone from the outset it probably would make a difference to you. It’s light, and comes with a neck strap which makes me look the perfect amount of obnoxious on dog walks too! And its a lovely colour. It’s plastic so will last a lifetime and it is a decent size that it doesn’t get lost in my coat pocket etc so also makes it easy to handle and comfortable in the hand. Obviously you cannot adjust the tone as it is what it is but if you are looking at purchasing i would do some research in to the different tones to ensure you are buying the best one for your needs.

Tut was sie soll. Laut und trotzdem nicht zu penetrant. Hund hört gut. Haben neu Konditioniert, weil es die einer anderen Marke nicht mehr gab. Kein nerviges Anlaufen wie bei unserer vorherigen Pfeife aus Metall.
