First Grade Stinks!

Very cute story about the difference between kindergarten and first grade. This main character is funny!

This book is also great for the beginning of 1st grade. It shows the differences the main character is seeing between her Kindergarten class and her 1st grade class. At first, she doesn't like being in 1st, but she eventually comes around by the end of the story. Great book for doing a Venn diagram or compare/contrast chart with the kids.

I purchased this book for my 1st grade classroom. It will be great at the beginning of the school year when kids are transitioning from kinder to 1st grade. Recommend!

My 6 y/o loves it! Asks to read it again and again. I give it 4 starts because for most of the book the little girl has a crap attitude. It does change at the end - but while I was reading for the first time I was thinking to myself, am I going to keep reading this? WTF? But 4 stars because the kid loves it & the girl does change her tune.

Bought this for my grandson and read it to him the night before he started school. He enjoyed it and put him at ease. We are saving it for his sister!

First Graders love it as a read-aloud. They keep begging to have it read again. Nice illustrations and a story line that keeps the interest level of the age group.

As a 4th grade teacher moving to 1st next year. I wanted a good book to introduce to the students to 1st grade on the first day. Very cute! I think it will be a hit. ;) Who doesn't like books?
