I bought the brown in this dual ended shadow liner. I was looking for a liner that could be used top and bottom, as well as on the upper waterline. I was happy to see the brown had no red hue to make my eyes look like they were sore. It went on creamy and smooth. Minimal transfer until set and stayed all day. Both pencil ends are forgiving and easily blended. The result was a soft smokey smudge look. No harsh line and a nice neutral brown. Great for most days. It did not bother or blur my contact lenses.

I absolutely love this eyeliner.

This is one of the better smudging eyeliners I own. It goes on quickly and easily, even though I struggle to apply my eyeliner. The two sides apply with the same consistency of texture and color but are different enough in thickness to be noticeable and allow for different looks. The color can also be left dark as it’s applied or smudged down to shades of grays and blacks.I’ve found that this eyeliner will continue to smudge directly after I apply it for about ten minutes, which gives me plenty of time to get it how I want it, but that also means I have to remember not to touch it until it’s set. Once it is, however, I have to either rub it hard or use waterproof eye makeup remover to remove it.I only had one complaint about this duo eyeliner: it doesn’t come with a smudge tool. I own two—a slim eyeliner brush and a smudge tip that came with a kohl eyeliner stick–so I tried both. The brush didn’t work well enough for me to attempt it again, but the smudge tip worked as well for this eyeliner as it does for my kohl stick. I also tried my finger, but I don’t recommend that as I couldn’t get precise enough to do what I wanted; additionally, it was difficult to wash it off my finger if I didn’t get to it quickly enough before it set.Overall, I’m pleased. Like every eyeliner I’ve owned, this one has a bit of a learning curve, but I’m certain it’ll become one of my go-to pencils once I find my best technique.
