UPDATED: 5/22/2024. I have updated my review and gave them 5 stars. Larry in their technical support went WAY above and beyond when I wasn't getting my notifactions. He researched my phone type and walked me through some settings to try to rectify. When that didn't work, he went as far as bought my exact make and model of phone to try to recreate the issue. He was in constant contact with me. We finally got it resolved. It was an issue with my phone, not their product or app. UPDATE: 5/20/2024: Technical support did reach out to me and have been trying to solve the issue of why I'm not receiving notifications. They have been working very closely with me throughout the day having me try different settings on my phone. They have even ordered themselves the exact make and model phone that I have to try to replicate the issue and resolve it. They seem to genuinely care and want to help. In addition, the gave me a refund for one of the cameras even when I said it wouldn't be necessary. So hopefully they'll be able to figure this out and fix it. I needed to find cameras that work through windows. I had the Amazon blink cameras with the window mounts that I purchased separately. The quality of video was good but I had two issues with the cameras: they would put themselves to "sleep" around 7am and then not "wake up" until around 4pm. If I went in and did a live view, then it would wake them up. Made sure I had it set for 24 hour recording and checked with technical support who couldn't fix it. Then it's motion detection would pick up cars going by, leaves blowing but not people walking further than 6 inches from it. Kind of defeats the purpose. Again checked settings, set the section on high, cleared the "field" so it would pick up anything in it's entire field of view. Frustrating and missed some very key events that I needed them to pickup. Technical support didn't even respond any more. So I read all the reviews for these cameras and everyone seemed to like them. The biggest complaint was that most features didn't work unless you did subscription. I had to have a subscription with the blink cameras too, so this wasn't an issue for me and I set up my subscription when I set up the cameras. I haven't even had them up for 24 hours and have had three problems so far. I have reached out to technical support who claim they respond in 24 hours but haven't replied yet. The first issue is problems with the motion detection again. If you set it to detect people, it is supposed to only detect people and nothing else. If you want to detect everything such as people, animals and cars, you set it to motion detection. I set both my cameras to motion detection and set the settings to the "high" sensitivity setting. Two hours after installing, I watched two people walk past and 2 cars drive past and none were detected by the cameras that both should have picked up. The second issue I'm having is that I have the notifications turned on but don't receive notifications until I open the app, then they all come through. Kind of defeats the purpose of having notifications. My third issue is one camera just randomly went offline. Once it's offline, there is nothing you can do to get it to reset through the app. You have to unplug it and plug it back in. How are you supposed to try to reset it if you're not home? You can't! So then you are left vulnerable. I do like the clarity of the video and large areas they cover. Hopefully technical support will be able to fix these issues for me. I'll update if I get resolutions.

I live in a relatively remote area with a yard that gets pretty dark at night. Tried a few different security cameras but the image quality just did not cut it, so I gave this a shot. There were no regrets at all! The camera is super easy to set up, and connecting it to the app was a breeze. For the installation, the box includes two adhesive rings with velcro that you use to stick the camera onto your window. (No more breaking out toolboxes, which is a godsend for a clumsy person like me 😂) Given the inexpensive price, the image quality is quite impressive—night vision is crystal clear with no reflection and is equally amazing in daylight. (Great for keeping tabs on what the outdoor cats are up to day-round.) A 64-gigabyte SD card was included for the camera, but I decided to try the subscription cloud service. Not sure how they are pulling that off, but it's ridiculously affordable! (3$ per month). Notifications for human detection are lightning-fast, and the huge cloud storage is a nice bonus. Overall, this camera is amazing for the price if you want some added peace of mind without breaking the bank.

Makes you pay to receive motion-detection-notifications, even when using an SD card. Yes, just to be clear that this is NOT a typo; makes you pay for "motion detection" notifications even if you use an SD card. (With other security cameras, you either (1) use an SD card to record/store footage yourself for free, OR, (2) pay for their monthly cloud service to record/store video footage on their servers. Either way, you always receive the basic motion-detection-notifications on a security camera). This camera will record non-stop video with an SD card, however, you have to scroll back through footage manually if/when you need to find something since, without a paid subscription, there are no motion-notifications. It feels like a scam since this is a very basic function/purpose of security cameras. These little window cams would otherwise be great. Therefore, if you are the type that doesn't want to pay a monthly subscription after purchasing a product, you might want to consider going with one of the countless other camera companies (that take SD cards).

Camera quality is good, easy to set up. Takes a while to make a connection to view a livefeed (if it ever does make a connection) I also did not realise that theres subscriptions involved if you want the camera to record when it detects motion. Their basic plan is $3 a month or $30 a year. Price for subscriptoon isnt terrible but for basic functions that people need like motion detection is behind a paywall. People buy this camera for peace of mind and needing a subscription to reap the benefits is greedy. I dont know if theres even a camera out there that doesnt require a subscription to use it; I suppose they gotta make money somehow. As long as their subscription service doesnt go up in price without a legitimate reason then I suppose its okay.

So far, I have been pleased with the EOJO Starlight window camera. Since I am in a small rental unit, the Velcro window stick-on system works best for me. I have it plugged into an extension cord and nearby outlet. EOJO customer service via email is VERY helpful, because I was just starting out and had about a million questions about how to use it. The first camera I ordered in August might have had a bad SD card; it kept going offline at midnight each night, when I really, really needed it to work. But customer service came to the rescue and sent me a new camera/card, so I was soon back online. There is a learning curve if one is unfamiliar with security cameras, but I feel more comfortable using it now, and EOJO customer service was super prompt in helping me resolve any questions. I think it is a wonderful budget option, especially for renters. Night vision is quite clear. I did go ahead and purchase the one-yr subsciption to save the hassles of monthly billing, but it is extremely affordable, compared to other companies. My only gripe is that in my case, it would have been helpful if the mic would pick up all audio from outside near the window, but that is not a deal breaker. Highly recommended!

Love the picture quality, especially at night. The color realization at night in complete darkness is just mind blowing. However, there are a few significant drawbacks. 1. Because this camera has to be stuck to the window on the inside, if there is a light on in the room, the camera picks up the reflection in the window and what you see in the app/video is basically the reflection of the room. That means the camera only really works in the window doesn't have light falling on it from the inside. Not a problem at all during daytime, obviously. But a huge limitation nevertheless. 2. The height and angle of elevation/depression: The camera has to be stuck to the window glass, which means it is limited to exactly one angle of vision, perfect horizonal. So if you wanted to set this up on an upstairs window and capture what's going on below in the yard for example, you can't! You basically have to put a little shim or a wedge between the camera and the window to make it tilt downward. That's a huge issue because it majorly limits where the camera can be set up. 3. Subscription: You basically have to sign up for their subscription service, for all intents and purposes. The SD card option is a sort of a bait and switch. It records content, but you can't play it back, you don't get alerts or notifications when the camera picks up a person, and you're missing some other functionality that would be considered basic as well. All said and done, it is a great camera as far as the hardware goes. But some basic design flaws and the subscription issue means I will likely go with a different brand to cover the rest of my property.

So easy - and they work great! No dealing with solar panels or nails or making holes in stucco! View is great- speaking and using the voice feature seems a little unnecessary as you’ll have to speak through a piece of glass- and the siren doesn’t work — but that’s okay. The camera does and it was an easy set up and the price was very comparable.

Got to be honest I’ve tried my fair share of cameras but this is pretty darn good! Brilliant full colour night vision! Really impressive! And sticks to the window so no messing around with mounts etc! Only thing is it came with an American plug which it probably said and I didn’t read. Easily got an adaptor though so no worries.

These cameras are amazing! And the company behind them is even better! Amazon had sent me an open box used item s a new item and there wasn’t anything Amazon customer service could do aside from tell me to return it, instead I reached out to the company and they were so amazing to deal with, they helped me and made the entire situation right, I can’t say enough about them. These cameras have great resolution, through snow storms and hurricanes, they have been reliable and the picture is great. Good peace of mind with these products and you don’t have to keep spending loads of money on behind the scenes services if you don’t want to, and you still receive the good quality services!

The camera is decent however, after a1 month, one must subscribe in order to play recorded events. Even worse, Amazon only allows 1 month to return. Too be late for the owner, just like me, to realize after the fact. To anyone considering buying this device, BE AWARE, DO NOT INVEST IN THIS UNIT!!!
