Without a doubt a life-changer for my wife who suffers from foot drop following nerve damage to her spine (L5). This has meant she can now walk with confidence - 2-3 miles a day in our local forest. However, we improved the brace by fitting a thin metal bar which we threaded through the bottom two eyelets of her walking boots. With this in position, the brace clips onto the bar (made from an old but extra large heavy-duty paper clip) and the attachment to her ankle is now steady and without movement once adjusted. If you attach the brace to the bootlaces as suggested by the makers, it tightens the shoelaces but tends to lose the tension between the brace and the laces. Having said all that, this is a great piece of kit and marvellous value for money.

I ordered the foot brace for my husband but when it arrived it was faulty. We couldn’t pull the knob up to release the wires. We could already see that, if working, it could be a very good thing for his foot drop so I returned the faulty one and re-ordered. This time it has worked perfectly and after only one day he is walking with more confidence and balance. It is early days but we think this foot brace can be a great asset.

Surprisingly effective and unobtrusive. Unlike some supports, which go under the foot and are almost impossible to get inside a shoe, this pulls the foot up from above. If the shoe is supportive, that's all the boxes ticked. If wearing trousers, you have to look hard to notice anything. At first, I was a bit baffled by the written instructions for the button, which say "up and down". I think "in and out" better explains the action. The fact that it can be loosened or tightened is also an asset. I'll be interested to see how durable it's, but for the moment, I'd say it's an inexpensive and practical piece of Chinese kit.

I bought Joingood knob adjust item in June 2025 as a spare. I have just noticed a manufacturing defect, where the wire does not go through the plastic hole insert on both sides. The wire is cutting the fabric holding the plastic on one side. I have used this product many times, and it’s excellent. This particular item is faulty, and the manufacturer refuses to replace it, as this option ran out in July 2025/ Very poor customer service!!

Only had it for less than a day. After I enquired about one of the instructions about fitting everything seems ok. I certainly feel more stable walking, which is my main concern.

BETTER THAN THOSE CLUMSY HARD PLASTIC THING THE PHYSIO GIVE ME IN THE HOSPITAL. IF YOU HAVE FOOT DROP GET THIS NOW!! COMFY LIGHT AND YOU'LL BE WALKING BETTER THE MINUTE YOU HAVE IT ON;-)

It’s been really good and no complaints at all I’ve not tripped and fallen since I bought this. Will definitely buy again in the future

The brave does what it says on the tin. It stops my foot dropping and makes walking easier. It is good quality and effective.

Después de sopesar varias opciones, me decidí por este modelo y la verdad es que no puedo estar más que satisfecho, pues ha sido un gran acierto. Es muy fácil de poner y quitar, llevo un mes usándolo y la mejoría es notable. Su sistema de gancho hace que pueda usarse con zapatos destapados (se agradece en verano) mediante sujeción de velcro y el cable de ajuste resulta más fiable que otras opciones, pues se puede tensar a gusto. Cómodo y eficaz. MUY RECOMENDABLE

Nachdem meiner Frau nach einem Unfall alle Fußhebermuskeln des linken Unterschenkels entfernt werden mussten, ist sie auf technische Hilfsmittel angewiesen um halbwegs "normal" laufen zu können. Für die verordnete Peroneusschiene muss jeweils die Einlegesohle des linken Schuhs entfernt werden - danach steht sie mit dem Fuß nur noch auf der flachen "Platte" ohne Fußbett. Längere Spaziergänge waren nicht mehr möglich, da nach relativ kurzer Zeit diverse Druckstellen schmerzten. Deshalb entschloss sie sich probehalber zum Kauf dieser Fußheberorthese, um beim Spazierengehen wieder "normale" Schuhe tragen zu können. Und das klappt sehr gut. Die Orthese kann an jedem stabilen Schuh angebracht werden - allerdings ist es sinnvoll sie nicht nur in die Schnürsenkel einzuhaken. Die geben zu schnell nach. Deshalb habe ich das unten mit einem "Ratschband" verstärkt. Sollte das mal reißen kann man es jederzeit problemlos ersetzen. Nun sind auch wieder längere Wandertouren möglich. Diese Orthese ersetzt aus ärztlicher Sicht zwar die Peroneusschiene nicht vollständig - kann aber für Spaziergänge / Wanderungen eingesetzt werden und bringt somit ein großes Stück Lebensqualität zurück. Ein tolles Produkt - preislich wohl unschlagbar mit angeblich lebenslanger Garantie.
