William Mitchell Joseph Gillott Artist Selection Set

Hi,I still need more time with the nibs - but so far I've properly used Gillott 303, 404 and 170 for regular writing and even drawing. Had to use lime to remove the protective coating which was prevent the nibs from soaking the ink properly. Now the nib soaks up really well after a good lime rinse.These nibs are genuine - the real deal. The flexibility, especially of the Gillott 303 is surprisingly good. It does take some time to get used to the nib - not the smoothest nib to write with and you definitely need a good combination of nib and ink. I would recommend Noodler's or any good quality Indian Ink. I wish they were a bit less expensive because these nibs don't last that long - especially if used regularly.

1. Cover is hardy but plastic.2. Pen Holders are also made of plastic. May be that's a good thing.3. Gillott 291 nib is rusty, totally dissapointed. It was almost like insulting. Picture is here.4. The other nibs are pretty OK.5. Mapping nibs are cool. Perfect for drawing.Further review will be there in the future.

Thanks for it the nibs are very good for the flex nib writer but one nib was not good and nib holder was not that much good quality overall very good product thanks

I am prime member of Amazon, packing is not good and the quality is also not good, according to the price, the quality is not well

Some products were good but a few nibs were damaged and thus useless.

Nice collection, working well, just take proper care hande delicately, 2 imp things- you must have knowledge abt dip pens and practice of using them ..and u will find d nibs floating n dancing.But you just need to have" that" hand with will and patience.Sharpness and thinness is not an issue (as few folks complaining) for drawing;as even 303, 170 feel broad sometimes for finer work.Edit-its 2019 still many nibs r working, just wondering about few fellas who r complaining about quality of nibs n comparing price n quality of material,sorry but these people seems in need about more knowledge of dip pen and nibs.As a point of price we don't make it it is made out of india,as far as price 1k or around is ok considering this

There is only 10 nib on my box. But I don't want to return r replace them as it might take some more time. But make sure this doesn't happen again with other deliveries... Buy over all the product is very nice to use.

Love the mapping pen nib, it is very good to outline the pictures and it is smooth while working on watercolour papers.
