This is a durable option for wrapping those tricky to wrap AC lines from your outdoor units to your house. It's better than the typical long foam or rubber pool noodles with peel and stick wrap around you find in the big box home improvement stores. The problem is that it can get pretty costly. Paricularly, if you further decide to wrap it with a 20 mil waterproof tape and you have a tight confine on the line up against the house where you have to rip and tear many strips rather than a straight wrap around. For two 5 foot lengths I ended up purchasing 4 rolls of this pipe insulation tape and 2 rolls of Orbit 20 mil waterproof black tape. This took the cost of this project to over $100 versus a little over $25 for the rubber pool noodle type solution. For all your trouble, this is a better and more durable solution but expect to pay more and budget at least 2 hours for this job. Those pool noodles are terrible solutions when your AC coolant lines are bundled tightly with electrical conduit which has no need for any insulation. You can't get a proper wrap around which makes the job kind of pointless. I hope this is the last time I have to do this job up until I buy a new outdoor AC unit. It's super tedious, but satisfying when completed.

Wrapped my air intake pipe with this and it is sticky and thick. Going to monitor it but any failure is not likely the product but the application.

This product was exactly what I needed to repair the worn insulation on my air conditioning coolant lines. It was very straightforward to use.

I needed a quick fix to seal cracks around exterior doors during a recent freeze and this worked great. Not what I intended it for but it held tight and came right off without issue, although it was attached to steel and not painted surfaces.

First time using this tape. Love the idea, good to work with. Difficult to install in tighter spaces, and I'm a little weary of the tape not sticking that well bc of the quality of the adhesive. Time will tell.
