Sodium Percarbonate 1 kg - Pure Granular Oxygen Bleach Cleaner, Eco-Friendly Stain Remover & Laundry Whitener, Biodegradable Household Cleaning Agent.

Following Nancy Birtwhistle I decided to give this a try for bleaching dishcloths etc without damaging the environment. Once I remembered that you need to activate it by first dissolving about 1-2 tablespoons in HOT water, before then added cold water, it works really well - is only active for about 30 minutes so by the time you tip it down the sink, it’s harmless. And my dishcloths are being bleached really effectively.

Great for cleaning and getting my white kitchen sink back to white, which continuously stains from tea and coffee being poured down it.

Brilliant, used for my son’s sweat stained sheet and pillowcase protectors. It’s brought all the staining out, leaving perfectly white bedding and smelling fresh. This is a keeper.

My husband uses products for his engineering and electrical work that seem to transfer to his clothes giving them a smell similar to rotting vegetables. I tried soaking one of his fleeces in a solution of 4 tbsp of sodium percarbonate with 5 litres of hot water for an hour before washing as normal in the machine. It had no effect at all. However, what did work was putting 60gm of sodium percarbonate in the drum of the washing machine and washing the fleece at 40 degrees using no other washing products or conditioners. Initially, it didn't have much effect but I repeated the same process and the smell has gone. Obviously, environmentally speaking, this is not ideal but the alternative didn't work and we can't buy new clothes every week. I'd also read that the product could be used to kill moss on a tarmac drive. I sprinkled it on the moss then used a water can to put hot water on the product to activate it. The next day I thought it hadn't done anything but three days later, I found it had killed the moss. Unfortunately, I've still got to get the dead moss off the drive somehow but Percarbonate did kill it.

I’ve been using sodium percarbonate on my laundry for a few years now, but I used to get it from another vendor as I lived in another country before. This brand seems reliable, the granules are pure sodium percarbonate, which is what I was looking for.

Great at cleaning stains and brightening whites.

This is a product everyone should have. It is excellent to remove stains from clothing and one thing I use it for, it’s for unblocking the toilet. My son does it sometimes so I add it and boiling water, works like a charm and whitens the toilet at the same time
