When my Helly Hansen 33 litre backpack finally fell apart after 5 years of patching it and sewing the straps back on, I decided it was time for something tougher, with more capacity. After reading the reviews from a myriad of options, I settled on this one. I'm confident I made the right choice.This is a beautifully designed and constructed piece of kit - amazing quality for the price. The stitching is seamless, the material is strong and waterproof, it zips smoothly, it looks great, and the carrying capacity of the four compartments is spot on. I can get a fortnight's worth of travelling gear in it and it just about holds a week's worth of shopping (for two). If you're looking for an over-the-shoulder day-pack, you might find it a touch heavy, but for everything else, this hits the sweet-spot of capacity, durability and style. Very pleased with it.

If I did, this bag certainly isn’t! I’ve just walked through 15 minutes of pouring rain, an absolute downpour. This from work to the train station in mighty South London. Just checked the insides of the bag and the inner parts of all zipped sections are damp. Good thing there were no papers in…. hang on! Yeah just remembered I have some blood test papers to take and they’re all wet. And these were imbedded down in the larger zipped part.If on the other hand you are looking for a rucksack that just feels comfortable on your back and aesthetically pleasing, then I’ll definitely recommend this rucksack. It is made to just rest on your back with a nice curve design.The 4 zip sections/compartments are just lovely and deep with good quality zips. Some sections has useful pockets to hold your bits and bobs. This rucksack is a nice size and not too big. Though cannot beat my Ox&?% rucksack for quality, there is at least a good year and a half in this bag, which is fairly good for this type of rucksack.I would conclude that this would be a useful bag to purchase for students, workers who need to carry documents (and paying too much rent) travellers, even builders with light tools. This is providing your chest isn’t too high and you only do name brands. Or, you don’t mind you things potentially getting wet!Update: Well today is 13th October 2024 and this bag is doing very well. Weather proof it is. Strong material, it is. There are no torn parts to report of. No missing zip pulls and is working perfectly. This has truly been one, if not, of the best rucksacks I have ever purchased. If still available, you couldn’t get a better quality bag. Much better than those big names you get in the overpriced camping shops (that all seem to be closing down those days, anyway!).Update: 17th April 2025. Still working strongly. No tears, rips or broken zips. The handle is as good as on the purchase .My daily use for this is a litre of water, rubber lunch box, a book, phone paraphernalia and keys, etc. There is consistently a good weight on a daily basis.Most of the so called big names only gives me a year and a half and in between that time, zips get stuck or broken, insides start to rip and stretch.I should contend that this is a high quality product for the price range. Will definitely buy again ( update: bought again, November 2025) as these days good quality products at an affordable price is so hard to find. Definitely worth 5 stars, now.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Pretty standard backpack. Very spacious. I wasn’t a fan of the white BanGe logo on the front so I just drew over it in a marker and took the string off (can be taken off and put back on without breaking it) and I didn’t like the luminous strap on it, but I had to cut it off, don’t wanna be lit up like a beacon at night.Overall, a very decent bag. I use it for drawing outdoors, but I also keep a lot of other things in there like a jacket, hat etc. It has a few very spacious compartments of varying sizes. The middle compartment is perfect for standard A4 paper/size book. Can put my bottle in the side so I don’t have to worry about water getting all over my stuff. I got nothing to complain about. Also, the zippers are pretty smooth, I used to have to almost yank the things off my last bag to get them to close so that’s an improvement.Comfortable, practical, design could be a tad better, but it’s not a deal breaker, it still looks good.I wouldn’t try to cram your entire wardrobe in there, but that goes for most bags... just buy a bigger bag if you plan on hiking across the country...

I have just used this backpack for a 10 day Europe and Israel backpacking trip. It’s extremely strong, sturdy and durable and quite comfortable too. There are also a lot of handy compartments. I took it on WizzAir as hand luggage without any issues. I definitely recommend this backpack. It’s sturdy and an excellent price.

This backpack is amazing. It's comfortable, adjustable, has loads of space, so much so that I have to search the so many separate spaces it has to find my stuff! Whoever said that this bag wasn't big enough is incorrect. Perfect for everyday cycling with equipment, computers, books, water bottle, change of clothing. There are two things this bag doesn't have though: a whistle in the chest clip (1), a space designated for pencils and pens and such (2). So if you need to travel with such items you will need a separate bag for them. For the price, and waterproof mind you, I think this is an excellent bag.

Trekked to the top of Ben Nevis and back with this on my back. Rained on the way down and the change of clothes inside were completely dry so it really is water resistant.There is loads of space and plenty of compartments. Another massive plus point is the price, expectional value.Still looks as good as new(June 22) after nearly two years of usage!EDIT - still in use November 25

This rucksack is comfortable to wear and is ideal for carrying your laptops and hiking. It hasn't got a waist strap, so not designed for the more serious hikers.
