I have this in my emergeny/disaster kit.
I bought the newer revised version. One will go into by disaster/emergency backpack and one goes into my wife's backpack. This is also a great tool to teach your kids knots, snare traps, starting fires, store and preserve food. I bought the book "the dangerous books for boys" which gives you and your son/daughter cool things to do with each other. This book is even better. This willhelp my son and I to become closer together and have a ton of fun doing it. Learn how to Fish, make fishing poles, where to find bait, make your own fishing hooks, how to to make a compass, build a radio from coconuts...sorry wrong books. Giligan's Island "The Professor" that was 1 small example. This is the best book I have come across for the subject matter ever.........ever!

Torn open
SAS Urban Survival HandbookThe envelpope was torn open. Hopefully nothing was removed from envelope. I bet this paperback weights about 2 lbs, or pretty close. Has everything you could need from pictures on identifing different poisonous plants, to pictures of the Fireman's lift. Then goes into details about restricted items for sea travel, also prohibited items also. What is the difference? I guess I better read that.LOL Even has area about dangerous dogs, hijacking, tsunami, and influenza. Easy to follow instructions, easy to understand illistrations. Like I said. It has everything you need in this book. I will keep it with my "Just in Case supplies" commonly known as survival supplies.

Should be required reading
This book should be required reading for everyone. The survival information it contains will save your life when the zombies wake from the dead or a solar flare destroys the power grid. As a former infantry Marine I love this book and the amount of knowledge it has provided me with. I highly recommend this for anyone who like the outdoors and or general survival know how.

Anxiety city
I’m going to continue reading this book but after my first sit down I realized the subtitle for this one should be ‘everything that could possibly go wrong all around you at any moment and how to worry about it’. I thought it was going to be a little more about how to navigate a city in a disaster scenario.. secret ways to find drinkable water or whatever but . It’s more about - watch out for roof leaks, chemicals in your food, X-rays etc etc.I haven’t given it a full read so .. take with a grain of salt. It just isn’t quite what I expected. I do recommend the regular SAS boom for outdoor survival. That one’s awesome.

Colored pages, good quality, great price.
I got this as a gift for my brother-in-law for his birthday because I knew he wanted it. I didn't know how nice of a book it would be for under 13 dollars. All of the pages are in full color, and my brother-in-law spent an hour reading it while the rest of us played Phase 10. This book is really nice if you know anyone who is into survival guides.

A must read
Very descriptive in Urban life in things that you'll encounter in the city, on the field, and even at home, which I like the most. But he even goes into bird of outdoor survival like plants that are able to eat, and dangerous shakes, which is all good to know.
