Quiet, kills mosquitoes.
So we have had mosquitoes in the house. South Florida. We have dumped every water container. Run every sink to make sure they weren't growing in a trap. Still getting just a couple every night. A couple of mosquitoes doesn't sound like much but the reality is that they need more than one blood meal before they lay eggs, and every blood meal means that you get injected with stuff that allows the mosquito to feed, and which then itches.Got this contraption yesterday. It has two switches, one turns on the UV and high voltage, the other turns on an area light, designed to be used if this was an outdoor item and you wanted to light under an umbrella, say. Combination and maybe your outdoor diners get bothered less.We left the uv/high voltage on and turned the area light off.I heard it work once, a couple of pops. But most of the time it is dead quiet. I liked that pop sound. Every pop means one less flyer. It has no fan and I can't hear any hum. Only the pops. Happy pops mean dead bugs. This morning I noticed that I hadn't been bothered by mosquitoes. The base has a plate that unscrews so that you can clean out the dead bugs, this morning I checked it, after one night there were six mosquitoes which looked to be of different breeds. I didn't think to check them microscopically. But they were mosquitoes.I think it is a keeper. I doubt that any passive attractor could work outside here (near the Everglades), but those six dead mosquitoes would have bugged me all night and any part not covered by blankets would have been bitten in the morning. When we had a baby in the house we would fog the yard..heavy fog gave us 5 minutes. This morning? Maybe one itchy spot, but that is way better than it was.If you are the kind of person who needs absolute dark to sleep, this is not for you. There is no scheme for attracting mosquitoes except for the light, and a single switch controls high voltage and the blue bait light.

Started zapping the minute I plugged it in
Really happy with this purchase. We've got a bunch of gnats in the garage. I don't know where they're coming from, but they swarm around a little nightlight there. I want to get rid of those. And from literally the minute I plugged it in, I started to hear those gnats getting zapped.I don't usually give 5 stars for just doing what you say you'll do: it needs to go beyond. I think that this qualifies by way of the clean-out port. I've not seen that in other products, and by the next day it let me see that I'd gotten rid of a whole bunch of those gnats - and be sure the machine wasn't getting clogged up.

Finally—A Bug Zapper That Works!
We tried five different bug zappers before finding this one, and it’s the only one that actually worked. As long as you keep it running, it does the job. Highly recommend if you’re tired of wasting money on ones that don’t deliver!

Good, but not excellent
It works, but it is times weaker than my old zapper. It is" safe" at the expense of performance and it is difficult to clean.

Worked in minutes and continued to provide entertainment.
I wasn’t expecting much for 25 dollars but as soon as I plugged it in and hung it up and it went to work. Woke up the next morning and saw that the electric chair needed to be cleaned. I will buy another one for the front yard.

Outstanding Warranty Support!
Product support is great!!! I purchased the model HK-1 "Mosquito Killer Lamp" in November 2024. It works great and I had it plugged in continuously until June of 2025 when the UV bulb burned out. It came with a user guide showing how to replace it but it did not include the part number. I emailed their U.S. support asking if they could send me a replacement bulb under the 2 year warranty, but if not, could they help me find the bulb. They responded same day, asked for the S/N and because they could not send the bulb, issued a full refund of my purchase price without any need to return the product. They also included an Amazon link to a replacement bulb which I purchased.

Upgraded version is MUCH better
*Revised Review*Seller reacjed out to me and upgraded my initial purchase to the newer model after I informed them of the overheating issue. The upgraded version is better and has an on off switch for the zapper itself. Overall I am satisfied with the upgraded product and the experience with the seller.

Worked in minutes
Worked way better than I thought. I purchased 2 more to put in different rooms. It's zapped mosquitoes, flies, moths, gnats, and a June Bug beetle looking thing. It's size is perfect. The light is super bright at night and the zap is loud, so be prepared.
