Good, Strong Industrial Duty Mounting Tape
This appears to be genuine 3M Scotch brand mounting tape. It'a very strong sticky stuff. I had been gluing a Nylon plastic part to an auto side glass with cyanoacrylate glue with poor adhesion life in use. I'm fully expecting this mounting tape to be much more resistant to the light little impacts that fail the CA glue to glass.

Good tape. Scotch brand.
Excellent tape.

Doesn’t hold heavy/ average frames
Doesn’t stick very well. Plastic frames hold up fine, wood and glass all fell of the wall.

Didn't hold as well as I had hoped. Possibly because of my own misuse.
Perhaps it's because I'm not using this for the automotive purpose, but this didn't hold up at all how I had hoped.I tried to use this in a few different ways, such as attaching a smoke detector to the ceiling, or an outlet strip to the side of a steel cabinet, but in both cases the bond of the tape failed.I made sure that when I used it, I cleaned both the attachment and attachment point surfaces well with rubbing alcohol, allowed it to dry, then pressed firmly for several tens of seconds. At first, it seemed it would hold. But after about a day, the bond failed and the parts that were attached fell to the floor. My reason for buying this for this purpose was because I had worked with it a couple decades ago in an automotive body shop. Back then, I knew I could trust it to hold moulding and emblems on vehicles with no issue. However, this more recent application of it didn't fair so well.
