It's a nifty guy - we love it!
This Shark Steam Pickup is a game changer. We were used to a carpeted place when we moved into our new house with vinyl flooring. We were sweeping with a broom first, then mopping with the swiffer wet mops. It took forever. This steam pickup cut the cleaning time down, and we felt like our floors were finally clean. If you hold the steam mop in one place for a bit, it also does a pretty good job of removing hardened gunk! One downside is that you need to clean the mop every time you use it. But, we used to empty our regular vacuum each time, so it's not that big of a deal. Now it involves some wet stuff, so it's a bit messier to deal with and it takes a bit to dry. Another downside is that I wish it was wider. It would take less time if it covered more area. It does fit into small areas, so that can be a plus, too. Lastly, the core could be longer. Overall, worth the purchase!! It's really not that pricey for what it does.

Simple and to the point
This is my first vac/mop combo. I have used a steam mop for years and I am sold on the power of steam. However the pads always seem to stir up a bunch of stuff that needs vacuuming. I saw the shark 3 in 1 steam pickup on the Just a Dad channel and was impressed with the effectiveness and simplicity, not to mention the low price point. My experience it's lightweight builds up steam quickly, very effective at removing stuck on stains and picking up debris. Certainly has a limit to how much it can pick up with the relatively small collection tray, but it has made me reevaluate how important suction is vs head construction on a vacuum. This thing does not use suction but I would be hard pressed to say it doesn't pick up everything a normal vacuum would plus mopping the floor. The cons, since it doesn't suction it leaves the floor pretty wet especially if you have to work over a spot for a bit. It will pick up spills milk, water etc. but it is not going to dry out the floor a whole lot. Just leaves it clean and wet. If you want steam you are going to have a cord and I think this is an excellent choice. It certainly is nice not having to buy a bunch of proprietary solutions, just water. If you give up steam something cordless may be a little more convenient, although cleaning this thing is super quick and easy, the dirty stuff is all confined to three easy to access and sink wash components. And the cord is long and really only adds the time to plug in and wrap up. Last thought if you have a flooring type that is sensitive to heat or water ie. Some types of lvp, linoleum, or hard wood anything not sealed, you may want to be careful with this it is both hot and wet. Maybe something that vacuums and stays cold will keep your floor dryer and prevent warping or loosening glue.

Doesn’t work as advertised
We have wood look tile floors in a color finish similar to white oak. There are only 2 adults living in this home. We have no children or grandchildren, no dogs, no pets or pet messes. I vacuum 4 days a week because I am a clean freak so there is no debris left on my floors. It’s a new home and I’ve only ever mopped it with a mix of water and rubbing alcohol, no commercial floor cleaners of any kind. Ever. I used this machine to steam mop the kitchen and around the center island towards the dining room. All together not a very big area. I bought this machine for the steam function mainly and thought the vacuum function would be a great bonus and save me some work. I used all 3 steam settings for testing purposes after each round of mopping. No matter what setting I used, it left very noticeable water marks and streaks everywhere. I used distilled water. It left my floors looking like they were mopped by a 3 year old. Also, my floors are long planks and there are small grout lines between them. If there is even a tiny fractional difference of leveling between the planks the scrubbing head jumps around on them or hangs up on them. I’m not talking about noticeable leveling differences like you would see in a poorly installed floor. I’m talking about the normal undetectable differences that every floor with grout has when individual tiles or planks are installed. It also left small little puddles of water in random locations even with continuous motion. I goggled this streaking problem to see if I could figure out what I was doing wrong. No surprise, I found a ton of websites where this exact problem was discussed and no one seemed to have any suggestions to fix it except to re-mop all of the floors using a regular mop to remove the water streaks. Kinda defeats the purpose, huh? Needless to say I started the return process.

great and competent steam and pickup...but must clean after every use.
This little steam and pickup mop is great, with one giant caveat...it MUST be cleaned out after EVERY use, but I will come back to that. This Shark Steam Pickup purchase was on the heels of returning my brand new Dyson Pencil Mop...which was awful and twice the price. I love my Dyson Vacuum so I defaulted to the Dyson Mop by mistake. The Shark is the only mop I found with steam, pickup not requiring a vacuum and no suction or tubes that dirt with travel through and become impossible to clean. It has performed above and beyond my expectations and picks up almosy anything from the floor and leaves the floor steam cleaned with no chemicals or anything but water. It's a simple mechanism that's easy to clean and has no complex moving parts and heats up in literally 20 seconds. Now about the cleaning. The unit is very easy to clean BUT you MUST clean after every use because the combination of steam and whatever it picks up in the tray essentially makes the tray a petris dish and the steam like miracle grow. I did a second mop after the first round i m my kitchen; because I had just cleaned out the tray and debris tank on round 1 I just left the mop to clean out the next day. It sat for maybe a day and a half before I got to it...and upon opening the cleaning tray was met with tiny tiny bugs and just a gross growing mess..I clean everything out and put the mop away...and the within 24 hours my apartment had like 40 house flies in it...which initially I blamed on a new plant until I really thought about it and checked the plant...and mopped again with a timed experiment and left the mop for just a few hours...and yes, while nothing was alive in the mop it was definitely way grosser than if I had cleaned it immediately and a place where the steam and moisture would have been perfect for growing lots of things you don't ever want growing inside your appliances or home. So yeah, great steam mop that picks up...but clean it after EVERY or learn the hard way like I did.

Life Changing
Yesterday, I cleaned all the floors in my 4,600-square-foot house, and for the first time ever, I felt like there was absolutely nothing left on them. No dust, no dirt, no dog hair—just truly clean floors. One of the best things about the Shark 3-in-1 Steam Mop Vac is that it cuts my cleaning time in half. Before, I had to vacuum first, then mop with a bucket of water—constantly changing out dirty water after every room just to avoid spreading grime. This machine eliminates that whole process. It vacuums and mops at the same time with steam, so I’m not just pushing around dirty water—I’m actually sanitizing. Another big plus: all you need is water. It produces a lot of steam and effortlessly cuts through dirt, dust, and pet hair. The vacuum works well, and there’s no need for chemicals. That said, you do have to clean it after every use, which includes emptying the water and dirt reservoirs and cleaning the mop roller. But I don’t mind—some pricier models claim to be self-cleaning, but based on reviews, people still end up taking them apart manually to prevent odors. I’d rather just do a quick rinse myself. One limitation: it’s not designed to handle large amounts of liquid. I dropped a cup of coffee yesterday and tried mopping it up, but the liquid reservoir is pretty small. This isn’t a dealbreaker for me—I see this as a sanitizing and dirt-removal machine, not a spill soaker. If you wipe up most of a mess first, the steam mop finishes the job perfectly. I also want to mention something that’s always frustrated me—vacuuming first, then mopping, only to see leftover dirt get smeared around. No matter how well I vacuumed, I never felt like my floors were truly clean. But with this machine, they finally are. After using it yesterday, I immediately called my mom and multiple friends and told them they need this in their homes. It’s that good. I’m absolutely thrilled with this purchase!

Works but slightly annoying
Works fine. Picks up small debris and steams. Often takes several passes for a spot to be cleaned. Meant to be convenient but having to fully clean the brush roll and tank after every use is NOT convenient and the brush roll starts to smell after a while. Even with cleaning and air drying. The floor honestly doesn't feel squeaky clean after either, I think that's from the brush roll being difficult to keep clean. Three stars because it does what it says; steams, picks up, scrubs lightly. However, cleaning it after and having to replace the brushroll every few weeks is annoying.

THIS THING IS THE BEST ON THE MARKET! even bought my daughter one! she loves it!
I cannot say enough about this thing! it is the finally step to the search for the best steam mop! NO streaking! no chemicals! no engine to hear! Just clean tile floors... SEALED WOOD... not fake parque it will bubble the fake stuff because its HOT STEAM! DO NOT EVER EVER EVER PUT ANY CHEMICAL OR SOAP CLEANER IN THIS THING! IT DOES NOT NEED IT!!! YOU WILL RUIN IT!!! THE HOT STEAM DOES IT ALL! I bough one for my daughter and she is amazing and says the same thing and her whole house is tile. Clean up is so easy, take a little effort but just water, is enough. the trough that catches the dry stuff and wet tuff is great. everything comes apart to clean. NOTE! DO NOT RUN WATER ON THE HEAD ITSELF WHERE THE MOTOR IS ... YOU WILL ruin it AND THEY WILL know IT. REMOVEALBE ROLLER TO CLEAN ETC... CAN'T SAY ENOUGH about this great product.... totally worth the money !! easy to USE and a super long chord so you can do a whole room !

Love it!
I was concerned that it would leave too much moisture on the floor but it doesn't. It really works great for not having a vacuum. Cleans quickly and no water mess. I love the fact that there are no chemicals involved, it's just all steam doing the work. Also it's electric with an extra long cord so it wont die in the middle of cleaning. For the small amount of water that you add to it, it lasts a long time and covers a large room before having to refill. I thought it was a little pricey at first but after I used it I feel it's well worth it. I'm very impressed with this machine and would definitely recommend it.

HORRIBLE
HORRIBLE!

Faulty after 2 uses
Worked fine for 2 cleans of the floor of my small 1 bed apartment. On the 3rd use the steam stopped being produced and cold water just dribbles from the machine. Returning it.
