Hooked up to IC-V86.The audio in and out is good. Sturdy clip. and the housing doesn't feel cheap and hollow. The PTT is crisp and feels right. The cord is better than expected. The side screws stick out to far and kind of annoying. Considering the price paid I would say this mic was a better deal than the radio was.

Security screws are trash. They aren't long enough to reach the threads on the radio. One post even broke while I was trying to apply a bit of pressure to catch the threads. Luckily I have a leather holster pouch that I'm hoping is tight enough to keep enough pressure to keep it plugged in. We haven't had any transmissions yet, so the sound, talking, and overall performance have yet to be tested.

Great replacement for OEM microphone, it could be a little louder but I use it in a very loud environment at work every day and m coworkers use it every night so it's a 24/7 usage and still working fine.

Ordered this product that is supposed to match the Icon HM-158LA mic. Everything was good except for the security screws on the plug. The screws do not reach the threads of the Icom IC-T10 radio, thus not allowing you to secure that connection from being pulled out. The manufacturer should use longer crews. Seller needs to know this and state it for others.

TX transmission is poor. Rx is okay. Wouldn't recommend buying this
