Who needs Oprah.....Your tea stands above
This is a very good tea and I am glad I ordered it. It’s the freshest tea and you can tell that it’s not been sitting for a long time waiting to be sold. I will be looking into other flavors of this tea. Very good. My only concern is that I’m not an Oprah fan, not impressed with what she buys, what she drinks or how she lives. I’m sorry, but I think it’s a mistake to put so much credibility into what Oprah likes or doesn’t like. I don’t find myself pairing with her on anything and feel that your tea is good enough to stand alone and does not need the celebrity endorsement of the likes of Oprah. Your tea is stellar and you don’t need to pull from a celebrity. Especially one like Oprah. The fact that I bought and enjoy your tea makes me just as worthy as Oprah. You’ve got a great product.....stay focused on that and keep focused on being the best. The best to you. I will be purchasing more through Amazon, Thank you for a great product.

Earl Grey in WHITE - Yes!!!!
As a long time tea lover of all kinds, herbal and caffeinated, I was amazed and happy to find a really great Fair Trade source from India for Earl Grey in white (EG is flavored with a hint of Bergamot, a type of orange, not lavender BTW).I'm now on a very restrictive diet to regain my health eliminating ALL caffeine (sigh) tho due to its low caffeine, anti-oxidant and other health benefits, white teas are allowed. Phew. If you think de-caffeinated tea/coffee is ok for you, try looking up what chemicals are used to do that... ugh! But herb teas just weren't cutting it for the 1st morning brew. And there are VERY few white tea sources (do NOT get me started on Lipton etc with their bland dust fragments in chemical-ridden tea bags). So I was very happy to find Vahdam's many types of white teas, not just Earl Grey. The Earl Grey White from Vahdam is every bit as good as the regular black tea variety I'm used to, maybe better. Lower in caffeine than the black but the taste is fuller, more flavorful. Huh. Who knew?Founder Mr Sarda's integrity and business sense shows when you receive the product. OK maybe the packaging is a bit much for people like me who usually buy bulk but it is awesome : a delivery vacuum-sealed bag, another smaller ziploc to repackage your allotment for the week in to keep it fresh, both of which are lined with that silver food grade material, a coupon, info on the company, etc, all very pretty and elegant. You get 50 gm (that's 1.7+ oz or about; if packed tightly, 4 Tbl or 1/4 cup dry weight tea leaves for we Americans) which doesn't sound like a lot BUT consider that these are the actual tea leaves (go ahead, measure the crumbs and dust from a "regular" tea bag), and these are tips no less, where all the goodness, the taste and the health benefits are concentrated... AND you can re-steep the same big leaves 3+ times and still get the same taste (again, we Americans don't usually know tea as well). So its not so pricey after all, is it?On top of the value you are actually getting for a decent, lovely, aromatic tea that makes you say, Wow that's Nice! vs something that's just hot water, bearable if you add sugar and cream, there's more: The company's founder in India, Mr Bala Sarda, has spent years cultivating the teas, sourcing them and developing his business while treating his workers to a decent wage and living conditions. How many companies can say that? Can say that 1% of your purchase goes to the education of the boys AND GIRLS who are the children of his workers! We take for granted our public education in the US, not available to all in many other countries. So, my hat's off to you Mr Sarda. Thank you.I will definitely re-purchase my Earl Grey White from Vahdam and am looking into the many other varieties of white teas offered as well; then branch out into the other black varieties once I'm well again. I know as I'm sipping this tea it's NOT from the disrespected labor of someone who gets a bowl of rice a day for harvesting it. I challenge you to google the story of this brand, read the dedication to the plantations, the workers and the teas that are named Vahdam. Then taste them. Samplers are available too. You'll be a dedicated convert to this Vahdam brand as I am. Oh, and I did NOT get a free sample to write this review (Tho I wouldn't pass one up-wink!). Entirely a random customer.Highly recommend!

Exceptional, High-End Tea!
This is a high-end, exceptional tea. Although I find it to be a bit pricey, the tea is so very good that I look at it as a special treat. If you are used to chai tea in an instant tea bag, this formula is a world apart. The combination of spices in this "saffron chai" is exceptional. I began by ordering the sample pack, and this was the flavor I settled on.This is a tea that is boiled on the stove so, to be worth a little extra trouble, I make a pot full and refrigerate the extra. Later I heat up a cup at a time in the microwave, which has worked out very well for me. I personally add milk and sweetener a cup at a time, but, if you prefer, you can boil it all together at the beginning, like the Indians do. Be sure to follow Vadham's proportions for tea to water.Vadham, the only thing that could be better about this tea is please come out with a decaf so that we can serve it at evening gatherings. Bravo on a well-made tea!Mrs. Bob Tetreault

Best chai you'll find in the states. Don't even have to add masala!
I also ordered the green tea with saffron and haven't tried it yet but if it's half as good as this, the black tea with saffron and cardamom, it's divine! This is what you get in India and Nepal. Even Indian and Nepali restaurants in the states don't make the real deal that you can only get if you travel to Asia. The closest I've come to this tea, other than in India, is an Indian restaurant in Arizona that is now closed. If you're a chai lover, buy this tea! It's expensive, but so good. I used too much the first time I made it because it's not in leaves but small pellets and I thought I didn't put enough in. The Indian/Nepali way of making tea is one pinch for the cup, one for the pot (2 pinches per cup, in other words) and I doubled that. Found out I should have stuck to the tried and true :-) I was definitely caffeinated! Add generous milk once the tea is boiling rapidly and bring to a second boil and sweeten it while continuing to boil. You don't even have to add any masala to this; it's that good!

Less flavor than other Vadham chai blends. Not for me.
I ordered Vadham's oolong and green chai blends before deciding upon this one. Quality and flavor were consistent with both of the aforementioned chai options, but not so much with their assam saffron chai. I noticed an intense aroma and abundant spice content when first puncturing the vaccuum seal, which seemed promising. Not sure if the tin I chose wasn't sufficiently air tight, but, after 3 days of storage, there was hardly any flavor in the first pot brewed. Still pleasant, but not what I usually seek from a chai experience (heavy, muted clove notes). Also seems kind of pricey for something with a CTC Assam base.

Exceptional flavour and freshness
I ordered this tea not knowing exactly what white tea was. The tea arrived and I opened the packet to a wonderful and different for my usual teas, of freshness and quality. I am no tea expert concur, but the smell, the tea and packaging were carefully thought out. I decided to taste it there and then and I absolutely love it :-D The flavour and freshness of this tea is exceptional 10/10.

Delicious tea
Great tea, with a lovely fresh bergamot flavour. White leaves, so little tannin etc. Really well packaged for freshness and they include an additional bag for you to keep the tea to keep it fresh. Only need a tiny amount per pot, so the price is reasonable when you take that into account. Very happy with this product which is why I'm on my 3rd order.

Too strong for me.
I personally did not like this tea at all! Quite strong and a little bitter.

Very small quantity and poor quality
The tea arrived. When I opened the box the tea was a very small quantity in a very big bag and in the box was an even bigger empty bag to presumably fill the box. I love white tea earl grey . For the expensive price it had little flavour and you might get 10 small pots of tea from this if your lucky At £12.99 And postage I could go to my local hotel for cheaper and tastier tea! Disappointed
