Serious Meltdown!
I bought a testing kit for some experiments at home. The package arrived as described and the petri dishes were triple shrink wrapped, which was a nice touch. However, I encountered a problem when the agar started melting after only 18 hours of inoculation. I had placed the dishes upside down in a consistent 82° environment, but nothing could grow because after 36 hours, everything had melted. Updated: After 52 hours, I have some expected bacterial growth. A lot of the liquid was moisture buildup and NOT AGAR MELTING. I would recommend this kit!

Great for hand washing lessons - super disgusting
Pretty cool little kit. So far we've tested hand washing methods and even stabbed our cats paw (🤢). It's absolutely disgusting and I don't think my daughter has learned her lesson about hand hygiene, but still effective and fascinating.

Great for a science fair
My son wanted to grow germs for his science fair project so this seemed like the best option. The price was reasonable and it was easy to use. We did receive one dish that looked like it was already growing something but we had more than enough dishes to do what we needed to do. We grew bacteria for about a week or so and had some really interesting samples to show off in the end.

Call hazmat…
This is a zero. The order was later than stated. The package was a little damaged but had obviously been opened. The agar plates were not sealed, they were in a ziplock bag. Some were broken. Some had bacteria growing on them. None of the other equipment was in the box. Totally unusable and actually potentially hazardous since the bacteria was of unknown origin. I had placed two orders for this kit. The second order arrived on time and was perfect.

Easy to use with great results
my kids had an absolute blast using these to grow bacteria at our school. The quality was great and they were super easy to use. They felt durable and they fit well in our storage cabinet. Extremely functional and fun for the kids.
