Honestly, at first I was a bit sceptical. A welder for about 70 bucks didn't seem like it would work, but I needed to quickly weld up some projects for a car and some other yard-related tools. When I opened the box, I was surprised at how well packed the machine was and the amount of stuff that I got. I must say that the welder itself is extremely well built, with a screen menu! Something this cheap with a screen is unheard of, but this one works stupendously well. The build quality is great, and it is about the size of a smaller welder from more expensive brands like Lincoln. There was some assembly for that welding helmet, but the instructions were clear, and I was able to put it together in 5 min. As for the manuals, they were extremely helpful for determining what power I needed to run the welder on for TIG, MIG, and stick. Each power setting works well on the menu screen, and I can adjust wire feed and amperage with two plastic knobs on the front of the welder. Overall, I would say for anyone starting out or anyone that need a portable welder on the go, this is an amazing option due to the fact that it runs on 110v, is portable, and it covers three types of welding that you may want to do. I will mention, however, that the clamp for stick welding included isn't the best, and it does not come with the parts for TIG welding, so you would have to buy those separately. But besides that, this little welder is super versatile and covers most of what anyone would need to weld. 10/10 would recommend!

When the postman handed it to me I thought (uhoh)it was a toy. I only weld because it's so expensive to hire, so definitely an amateur. Out of the box still thought it it might be a toy.... Wow! What an incredible machine. I've already welded an exhaust pipe and now rebar for brackets. Tinker with the speed and heat and it just hums along. About the size of a car battery. Ha! I even ordered one for my nephew. He loves it. Don't forget to order gloves. That's all you need to start. Auto shield works fine. I haven't tried the stick yet, might not ever because mig is so easy for amateurs.

I've gotten off to a shaky start with this little welding kit. First, the welder arrived without the spool of welding wire that's supposed to be included. After some discussion with the seller and photos to document the condition of the welder and the box it came in, he processed a credit in an amount to buy some wire. Then I found that the spool of wire would not fit on the spindle when using the spacer, spring, washer and provided wingnut. The threaded spindle is simply not long enough to catch even a couple of threads on the wingnut, and in addition, the threaded liner of the wingnut is slightly recessed, making it necessary for the spindle to be a little longer to engage the threads. The wire is standard 2lb, 0.030 flux core MIG wire, made by Yeswelder, a popular brand. And yes, I've owned a similar welder in the past, so I have some experience with these things. I went to a hardware store and bought a M5 wingnut, in the hope it would engage the threads better, and it did. The problem now is that the wings of the wingnut stick up higher than the one provided with the welder, meaning the access door won't close. I'm considering drilling a hole in the door to clear the wingnut. I was finally able to get the wire advanced through the cable and verify that the welder does function. The default settings were too hot and the wire speed too fast, but I'll work on that. I don't do stick welding right now, but I'll also add that the stinger jaws looked nasty, almost like they'd been used and burned. I'll replace it if I start doing stick. The welder settings will have to be tweaked to get a good weld, but it does seem to have plenty of power and it does transfer metal well. It's also a compact and good-looking unit. I wish it had a printed guide inside the door for metal gauge and recommended settings like some others, but the automated settings will do for most jobs. The helmet that came with the welder is "okay" for light use, but it has one flaw - the darkness setting knob rotates very easily, and you will want to check it every time you use it. I set it on 12 and when I did a test weld it was light, and I saw that the knob had twisted around to 10. The knob needs more resistance to rotation. Assembling the helmet's head band can be a challenge. Not sure why it didn't come assembled. The gloves are okay, but very stiff and will need lots of break-in. The chipping hammer and brush are garbage, so plan to include those with your welder order, along with some welding sleeves and other protection. All in all, it's good that the kit came with the bare necessities to get the buyer welding. I'll be interested in seeing how this machine pans out in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I'm deducting one star for things beyond the seller's control. **EDIT** Seller TOPUL has been exceptionally helpful and generous in addressing my issues, and has extended a completely acceptable solution. Many sellers would ignore an occasional unfavorable review, but TOPUL reached out to me on more than one occasion and worked to make me satisfied with the purchase. Sometimes the seller is as important as the product, and this is one of those cases. You can buy with confidence from TOPUL.

Very good. This is my first time welding and it did a good job of filling in some drill holes on my truck. I would recommend getting another helmet. It works but it is very cheap and moves around a lot even after adjusting it.

I recently picked up the BILT HARD 135A 3-in-1 IGBT Inverter Welder, and I have to say, I've been quite pleased with it overall. Right out of the box, it was straightforward to set up. The 135 amps provide quite a bit of power, so it's great for home projects without feeling underpowered. One feature I really like is the portability. It’s relatively lightweight, and I can easily move it around my garage or take it to different job sites. This flexibility has been a game-changer for my projects. On the downside, I did notice that the duty cycle could be a bit limiting if you're working on long welding tasks, but that’s pretty standard for machines in this price range. Just plan breaks into your work, and you should be fine. All in all, the BILT HARD 135A is a solid welder for anyone looking to tackle DIY projects or light professional work. I’d recommend it to both beginners and those with a bit more experience. It gives you good quality without breaking the bank.

Genuinely impressed with this little welding kit. Would I use it professionally? No, but it’s great to keep around the house or for a hobbyist/weekend warrior. Has plenty of instructions, and seems to work without any issues. It’s not the strongest in the world, so it can’t handle anything stronger than 1/4” (honestly probably 3/16”), but it’s more than enough for normal things. I used it to repair a headache rack for a truck, and to rebuild parts of a trailer. Definitely recommend this if you’re just starting out, or looking for a cheap alternative. It’s not very heavy and has plenty of room for fine tune adjustments on the settings. The helmet is a little thin, and the gloves handle the heat well but will get a little hot if heat is concentrated on one spot for too long, but haven’t had any issues. (Lowe’s sells the exact same set but for like $50 more, from the some manufacturer.)

I'm someone that is really hard to convince especially when it comes to unknown name brands. This time I jumped the fence and gave this a try. This BILT HARD welder is a surprisingly nice welder with plenty of heat to do whatever you need it to do. I had to laugh at the slag hammer it comes with because the small hammer part is plastic not like the old-time metal pick type. I haven't used it yet because the welder doesn't come with rods. So that might or might not be an issue. Other than that, coming from someone that's hard to push I'm very pleased with my purchase.
