I am using this to connect my personal computer to my stereo which is across the room. I had twice bought a wireless audio transmit/receive system for like $60-80 bucks to transmit audio across the room. But I have run into digital distortion problems with those. As much as they say they have engineered them to not interfere with other wireless signals like cordless phone or wifi, I have had problems with those.Finally I decided maybe I am trying too hard. Why not just run an audio cable across the room. And then I started wondering, will the loss be too severe over that distance? So I was looking at like 12 AWG audio cables. But finally I started concluding that the loss would be pretty small even with a small diameter low-cost audio cable. Another thing is that I am not running a high power signal like the power to a speaker, it is just a low level audio signal that goes to my receiver.So I just got this budget cable. It works fine. My distortion problems with X/R units are over. The clutter of one wire running across my room is actually less than having those X/R units on my computer and stereo tables.This is a budget cable and probably not rugged enough for heavy use like music gigs. But if you are just routing it in one place and plan to leave it there more or less indefinitely, then that should not be an issue.It is handy that this one has more length options than most audio cables. But its main virtue is that it makes for a cheap solution where you need a rather long cable.

From time to time we have friends over for an outdoor movie night, with a projector and screen.The projector has bluetooth, which I used to connect to a 100 watt party speaker. (The built in speaker on the projector is probably 10 watts, and worthless for a party.) Sound was good, but there was a very noticeable lag.For the next movie night I got this long cable, and it worked perfectly. When I first plugged it in, I was worried because there was a loud hum. Once I turned on the projector, though, the hum mostly went away. And when audio was finally playing, it sounded just fine and I didn't hear any hum at all.This came in multiple lengths. I got one size longer than I needed, and I'm glad I did. More versatility, and if it's too long it's easy enough to just coil the extra.I'm not equipped to run any kind of technical sound quality test. I have to assume there's some sort of little loss with a thin 50' cable, but I did not notice any quality issues. I believe cable length and quality issues are more for speaker wire than audio input, but I could be wrong. Suffice it to say, the quality was good from a little projector to a 100 watt speaker. For what it's worth, we watched Star Wars: A New Hope, and we blasted it. Sounded great. And it all came through a 50' spaghetti-size wire!
