Tofurky Italian Sun-dried Tomatoes and Basil Sausage, 250 g

Tofu, the boring meat replacer. I'm normally a meat eater but wanted to try something new and thought I'd give these a go.I have to say, I looked at the instructions on leaving it in the microwave for well under a minute and laughed out loud... no way I was only cooking it for that short a time so I stubbornly put them on for nearly 2 minutes and they came out perfectly heated all the way through so I hate to think what it might have tasted like if I'd have eaten barely heated though.The bite I took I wasn't impressed with the actual taste and only managed half a 'sausage' then my brain nagged at me to eat a bit more and the more I ate the more I liked them, so much that I ate the whole packet on my own even though I only needed two at the time.I guess it's the sort of taste that grows on you, I would buy these again if they weren't so expensive, so it's more of a one off purchase due to the price of them which is a shame as I do want to eat less meat so will check out other more affordable items in the meantime.

Tasty little bangers

These have long been my favourite vegan sausages available. I used to eat them in Canada 7-8 years ago, and when they finally arrived to the UK I was SO HAPPY! They are miles better than a lot of the brands here in taste and texture, and they keep you full for ages. They are also much healthier than the US / Canadian versions which I appreciate, as I don't feel the taste has been affected.

I expected so much more given the price. Couldn't taste any sun-dried tomatoes or basil at all. Won't buy again.
