I was discouraged at first as it did work immediately out of the box and charged flawlessly.HoweverThe instructions for me were abysmal. The reason is that this alarm is so feature rich I was determined to understand the directions. Having finally figured out things ... I re read the instructions and I could see where they were correctly written..SO.. DONT GIVE UP .. this is a huge handy device that is dirt simple to operate once you figure out how it works. It is easy to understand the principles, but difficult to understand which mode you are in.I originally thought I had a defective unit as it worked what appeared sporatically. HOWEVER.. this was my fault.. I was in the night only mode where the unit is silent in the day and only activates at night. I was testing in a dim room that went over the threshold from time to time..Stick with it.. You will enjoy this.I especially like the mode where you can record y our own message or sound or tune etc.The original is extremely annoyingly LOUD .. which is sort of what you want.IF you need a more humane sound.. go to youtube and get a door bell etc sound and it easily records that sound instead of the programmed ear bleeding loud ones.I think for sure I would buy this if it were lost or stolen. I look forward to seeing how it handles below freezing weather.. MY GUESS is it will work perfectly.. I am on my 3rd day testing inside without charging or sun to try and get a feel how long battery life is. ( simulating snowy overcast or rainy dark days).Only caveat is make sure you have it turned the right side up as you read the manual.. I had it with solar pannel down as I read instructions and of course everything was backwards except the middle button.Hope this helps.. I gave it a full 5 stars even thought I pulled out my hair initially figuring out how it worked.. Cheers

This represents an intruder alert device of High Caliber, in my opinion. What you're getting here is a alert device which could be used as a burglar alarm, for instance for a car if you did not want to hardwire one. Simply put it on top of the dashboard at night and solar power charges it during the day. And what you hear if you were to cross the sensor that is on the box in other words trying to get in the car as someone who does not belong to the car. You would hear gunshot sounds, loud dogs barking, as well as red lights flashing. Quite a deterrent in my opinion. And in addition it has a recording feature where you could literally record sounds of your own including your own voice warning people away from your premises or your car or whatever it is you're trying to protect. In addition unwanted animals and other Intruders can be warned away as well. For instance you had Farm or chicken coops you wanted to protect I rarely give five stars for anything but this is such an inventive idea and useful device that it warrants it, in my opinion. Highly recommended

If you are having an issue with pesty animals eating your trees or plants, this is the alarm for you. It is solar operated and can also be charged by usb in about an hour. No need to use nasty chemicals to do what this alarm can do. Comes with a remote to change alarm sounds and to turn on/off. I have had more success using this alarm than any other deterrent I have tried. It catches me off guard as well...lol. I choose to keep mine on at all times, as the deer an rabbits come at all different times. I highly recommend this alarm in replacement to chemicals.

This is a translucent red plastic device containing a good sized loudspeaker, control buttons, and a waterproof port for connection to a 5v source. A USB cable is included in the package as is mounting hardware and template for the setup. There is a solar panel on the top of the unit.The sound has three potential volume settings. They are each loud - the loudest one is annoyingly loud if you're setting up the unit inside. The alarm can be set to a variety of sounds, including a built-in siren as well as a recording that you create.Note that this is a fairly small device and would be easy for an intruder to destroy or simply turn off with a push of the front panel's power button. If you mount it out of arm's reach, you can still control it with the provided remote.

Loud and obnoxiously perfect!! This has brought me so much joy!! I have some horrible drug dealing neighbors that everyone in the neighborhood wants gone. This has to be the best deterrent I’ve come across, they trespassed onto my property, causing this to activate and sent them running, all caught on a trail cam. Now the next time I see them will be in court! The only thing is I wish I could figure out is how to securely lock this onto something without interfering with its function, just in case they try to steal it. Charged up fast, easy to set up and use too!

The media could not be loaded.  My wife needed a motion-detector with a recording of, “Merry Christmas, you filthy animal,” from Home Alone for her office. Obviously that’s an incredibly specific need, so we were excited to find this, ands it works! We found a recording on YouTube and used this thing’s recording function. Not sure why it always does it twice, but it works!It’s a little finicky with the consistency of when it plays, since it doesn’t play every single time someone walks by (might be a setting or something to keep it from playing repeatedly nonstop or something—not sure, but I don’t really care, it generally works just as needed).Recommended!
