Perfect. I use it to make swimwear tops and bras adding my own bits to it. Easy to sew. Should work perfectly for beginners i think with all it's step by step guide in the package. Reasonable price and would definitely recommend.

Easy, but needs modifications
Edit: Modified the pattern and the end results looks great. The tops are easy to sew, and it's easy to fix if you make a mistake. Made these tops multiple times now and am happy with the pattern and instructions. The pattern itself is easy to follow, but the end result doesn't look like the picture. I made pattern D and it looks terrible. The center pieces are too close together, squishing the boobs in. If you're making pattern D, I suggest adding a couple of inches or it will look like you will look like you have a mono-boob. The darts don't lay flat and bubble up, no matter how much I pressed and tried. Maybe it's just not meant for top-heavy women...

True 1940-1970 Halter Pattern
Love this 1940-1970 halter pattern. My mom & her sisters wore these in the heat of the summer when relaxing, working around the house & sun bathing. I grew up wearing them too. I've looked for this pattern all my life & am so happy to find it. The pattern is easy to tailor it to fit. Button closure is traditional but it's easy to add other options & even make the halter from modern fabrics for a wide range of looks & fits.
