I bought these in both pink and purple to use for each of my daughters' shoes. I replaced their shoelaces with elastic bungee cord, and used the barrel locks to cinch them tight--no more untied shoes!They are 5/8" in diameter and hold the bungee paracord securely. They are also a great fit for the standard 550 paracord and grip securely. I am pleased with this purchase and have ordered read and blue to do my sons' shoes, as well.

About 2 years ago I converted all of our lace up shoes to elastic cord and cord locks. We have outdoor shoes we use for working in the yard and garden and we spent a lot of time tying and untying shoes. It's great. No floppy laces to step on and often you can just slip the shoes on without unlocking the cord lock.Mostly I've used barrel locks, but I decided to try these for a flatter alternative. I really like the look of them and they work just as well as the barrel locks. I'll buy more as I bring others into the freedom of elastic laces.

I use these on my sneakers so they won't come undone. I was SO tired of tying and re-tying my shoes, and, of all the people telling me my shoes were untied! As a senior, a fall is not an option so keeping my shoes tied is essential. I started with a different type and color, plain black, to see if they would work. They were very cheap and well worth the money I paid for them. I gave some to family to use for their shoes, too. Then, being fashion conscious, I wanted some to match my outfits so I bought these. These are more money than the others, but I love them. They work perfectly and look cute, too.

I bought these to use for my two young sons' pants with drawstrings. If I tied them in a bow, they would keep coming untied. If I tied them in a knot they couldn't get them off to use the bathroom. These were the perfect solution! They hold in place very well, but the boys can easily work them to get their pants on and off.

Spring too weak to be of much use. It will stay in place, but a gentle pull will move it, without pressing down on release button on top. Fairly useless, would NOT buy again.

Nice light pink ‘light’ duty cord locks! A little flimsy for more than just closing a small draw string eyeglasses bag, which is all I needed them for... other reviewers had a hard time threading the cord, I used a safety pin to poke it in at one end and grab and pull through the other end, bigger cord is more challenging, but don’t think these were intended for heavy duty, large paracord use.

Don't waste your money on these. They are made out of really thin and cheap plastic. They don't have enough spring tension to cinch the cording when being used. If they are used as a decoration then they're fine but if you're buying these to use as intended and for functionality, don't bother.

Flimsy. One of the five locks broke and jammed open on first use. The others don't fit most draw strings I own. I managed to get one attached to the draw string on a pair of sweat pants and it doesn't grip well at all. This product is not fit for ordinary use let alone heavy use implied by the "paracord" name. Four bucks for five should have been a giveway :)
