Edit 2/8: Quick update, the pain relief I derive from the use of this oil is still an amazement to me, three months and multiple bottles of the stuff later. I've bought it for all my friends with chronic pain, and not one hasn't found it greatly helpful in soothing the aches and sleep-disrupting pains of fibromyalgia and arthritis. People come to my house and sometimes the first thing they say to me is, Hey Ondine, where's that oil you use, can I have a bit? So I have nothing but raves for the Mahanarayan oil; get yourself a little bottle, you won't regret it. * * " * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I havev severe rheumatoid arthritis. I hurt pretty much everywhere, all the time--but my knees, ankles and feet *kill* me, especially at night. In addition to pharmaceuticals, which I prefer to avoid, I've tried all kinds of OTC pain relievers and potions, patches and oils. (I've reviewed a ton of them too; have a look at my profile if you like.) Pain patches dial it down a bit--but they're smelly, can be irritating, and tend to come quickly unstuck. Medicinal oils haven't done much for my pain either (they have other virtues), but this product is something quite different. It doesn't smell like menthol or eucalyptus; in fact it isn't an aromatic at all. It's not merely momentarily taking your mind off your pain by giving you a distracting "hot & cold" sensation like BenGay, Icy-Hot, and some essential oils do. No, it's a precisely concocted, deeply traditional herbal remedy; I mean, you can sense right away that it's something very ancient and true. I take my time massaging it into my painful spots, and within a few minutes I obtain relief enough to sleep; and anything that brings my arthritis pain down enough to let me drift off to Dreamland is a great blessing indeed. Tonight it was nearly midnight and I was tossing and turning with hot, aching knees and feet. Exasperated, I turned on the light and reached for this. While I was working on my feet, I noticed that the terrible ache in my knees--which I had just finished rubbing the oil into--had decreased by half. I felt so pleasantly sleepy and content I was about to turn off the light and tuck myself back into bed, but the effect was so amazing I decided I had to go and compose a grateful review first. Of course, your results may vary--for better or worse. But in my opinion, if you have RA or any kind of joint pain--you owe it to yourself to try it; the 4 oz bottle is very affordable. I just bought more for myself and for a friend who suffers from fibromyalgia.

This oil is great, I use it on several clients whose muscles need a little more help to relax and receive the benefit of the work I do. Also a little goes a long way, most of the time my clients only need an initial application. Also since the warming effect isn’t as intense as other oils of the same purpose even clients with more sensitive skin can appreciate the benefits. I have used this oil for years and is one I recommend to other massage professionals for use in their practice and clients for home use to alleviate sore muscles.

My first experience with mahanarayan is a pleasant surprise. It is suggested for my Ayurvedic Dosha type, Vata. My skin craves this oil. Provides nice circulation support when I include it in my body brushing routine. Healed my cuticles, eases sore muscles, softened my feet - and I have only had this oil a few weeks. I'm 43 and was diagnosed with RA about 5 months ago after complaining of unbearable pain in my hips, hand, knees, lower back and feet. My primary doctor gave me prescription pain med & I suppliment with ibuprofen. Ibuprofen as you may know has toxic effects on one's kidneys, so I use this sparingly. I stumbled upon this on Amazon, and read the reviews which seemed genuine, so I gave the 4 oz bottle a try. OMGoodness, i ihad my daughter rub down my feet, ankles, knees, and I did my hands (covered) with hand softening gloves, and the decreased inflamation was incredible. The effects last several hours, but the depth of the effects are amazing. This review is real, not solicited, and with the most integrity...my word and experiences. ***PLEASE KEEP THE INTEGRITY OF REVIEWS SACRID & HONEST AS THIS IS THE ONLY THING WE LITTLE "Man" HAVE to RELY ON.

Good for pain

Oil is easy to massage in but smell is not pleasant . Dont know yet if oil has any actual benefits for my muscles. Too soon to tell.

I was a figure skater from age 8-22. My body is pretty beat up. Lots of arthritic joints and scar tissue after 10+ orthopedic surgeries to repair some of the damage. I have been purchasing products from Banyan Botanicals for quite some time and decided to try this oil. It really helps! It needs to be massaged into the skin as it’s not a light easily absorbed oil. I use it as part of a self care ritual before bed. It is oil, so it’s probably good that I wear compression socks to bed or I might worry about residue on the sheets. It is also a great stand in for the ‘special’ CBD balm I use on my neck when I run out or low and can’t coordinate picking it up (it’s a friends product line) Next time though, I plan on ordering the large bottle of Mahanarayan Oil. I’m going through it pretty fast these days. Bionic and 59 needs A LOT of self care!!

A LOVELY PRODUCT AND FOUND THE OIL BENEFDICIAL FOR RELIEVING JOINT PAIN WOULD BUY THIS PRODUCT AGAIN.

I was expecting miracles.. not as effective as Voltorol

Really nice oil & appears to be helping my knee pain.
