does it come with a sodastream co2 tank? will a sodastream co2 tank connect? Does Aarke sell refills and how much?

it does not come with a gas cylinder and yes it is compatible with the sodastream 60L co2 tank. Aarke does not sell any gas cylinders.

Is the black one made of stainless steel as well?

Yes it is. Then painted with matte finish.

can you use the soda steam plastic water bottles with this?

I don't know - I had put mine in the recycling bin before the Aarke arrived. I have to say that the Aarke bottles are really nice and substantial. I like the whole system very much.

Can any other brand of co2 be used with this machine, other than soda stream?

I bought two 14.5 ounce tanks from isoda, which work perfectly. I also bought an adaptor that lets you refill the isoda tanks at any sporting goods store that refills paintball tanks: https://www.amazon.com/Palmer-Pneumatics-Maker-Painball-Adapter/dp/B074T7Y63L/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1522021811&sr=8-1&keywords=palmer+pursuit+adaptor
