Tsunoda MEB-135, Photo Etched Parts Bender (Long-Flat Nose) 5.5-Inch

These pliers are very solid and work very well for bending photo etched parts. They are very solid and well made. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pair of pliers that just work for your modeling needs.

I’m a fan of Tsunoda pliers in general and the smaller ones are no exception. I use these for building 3d metal models and find they work way better than tweezers. They are long enough in most cases for right angle bends, they fit well in the hand and the finish on the pliers is well done compared to less expensive other brands

I have several Tsunoda pliers, and they are all high quality tools. No hesitation in recommending them.

POSITIVE: The jaws are parallel when about 0.5mm apart and are flexible enough to become parallel when squeezed closed with moderate effort. That is near enough perfect for thin, flat material. They operate smoothly and there is no 'stiction'. The handles are comfortable. The spring strength feels just 'right' and the spring is silent. ONLY 4 STARS: Although they are machined accurately, sharp burrs have been left in three places on the jaws. That is not what I expect from a Japanese manufacturer, the burrs should obviously have been removed in the factory. We use flat face pliers specifically to avoid marking the material but, as delivered, these pliers guaranteed marking the material. A QUALIFIED RECOMENDATION: Once the burrs were removed (easy enough) they are very nice to use and THEN they are better than my Knipex pliers for half the price of Knipex.

タミヤのエッチングベンダーを大小していたのですが海外キットになるとエッチングが硬くベンダーの方が負けてしまうのでこちらを購入しました。こちらの方がつかみ部分が強いので大盤のエッチングに対してはオススメです。

Excellent pliers, alignment is spot on, no sloppiness in the hinge. Just wish they'd stop using a coiled spring and use a bar spring instead.
