You alone will know why an open ear headset might be something you’d want. So let me just focus on the function of these. Battery life is epic. I mean all day. I use them all day a lot of the time. Comfort is excellent. As I said, sometimes I wear them all day. I barely know they are there. In fact, sometimes I forget they are there. sizing is something we need to talk about. I am 6 feet tall and have a normal sized head I suppose and the mini ones fit me perfectly. I also have short hair so keep that in mind. The reason this is important is because the standard ones might give me a little more freedom without getting tight. I really don’t care about that because the minis allow me to sit in a chair without being uncomfortable when I put my head against the pillow. They can also be used in bed. In fact, sometimes I sleep all night long with these on, and they are still there when I wake up. If you can wear the mini and have a little bit of distance between your neck and head and you don’t have to look up a lot, get the mini! Otherwise get the standard ones and be aware that you probably won’t be able to put the back of your head against anything without removing them. Yes, you can pull them down and put them around your neck and they will stay there until you are ready to put them back over your ears. The sound is excellent. Especially once you download the app and boost the base a little. That is the essential feature of these with the extra speakers. However, they work just fine without the extra speakers as long as you were fine with a little treble. Since I normally listen. to podcasts, it doesn’t matter to me. I am just listening to some person‘s voice most of the time. However, if you use them in the classic mode, which means you are just getting the bone conduction, be aware that when you turn it up to a higher volume, you may feel some buzzing on your temples. I suppose I could look up the IP rating for these. I don’t know what it is. But I’ve worn them in the rain and not had any difficulties. USB-C charging is clutch! And I saved the best for last. The microphone call quality and noise, cancellation or voice isolation is really top notch. I mean, handset quality. I really prefer using these for telephone calls over AirPod earphones. These things blocked out a crowing rooster! I mean, wow! i’ve been using them for a few months and they seem to be pretty durable. No problems. The case that they come in is very nice and they charge quickly. I really don’t have a downside for these except maybe it would be nice to have the microphone extension Like the other model. But then again, the voice quality on these is so good. I don’t think I need it and that would just be something else in the way. I got these on sale. I don’t know what they cost right now. But if it is within your budget and you are considering them, just hit the buy button because they were great.

Super happy with these. A bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it in the long run. I work 8 hour shifts often listening to music the whole time and on medium volume I can happily report the 14+hr battery to be accurate. Charges quick and pairs even quicker. Multi device pairing is a breeze too, only being made easier by the app where you can toggle on and off devices that the headphones will try to pair to. So, basically you can pair a bunch of devices and turn the ability to connect to them on and off. For me, I usually pair to my laptop and phone, but have my watch and streaming stick saved and toggled off so the headphones prioritize my phone and laptop so they don't fight for pairing power. I had the minus volume button deteriorate and come off rendering the rocker almost useless. I reached out to support and they sent me a new pair free of charge since it was still under warranty. Really nice and easy and now I have two pairs, just one I can't turn the volume down on nor rely on its water resistance. I'd consider myself an average sized dude 5'10" @160lbs and the "mini" size fits perfect and I barely know it's on me until I get a notification and hear it IN STEREO! Stereo audio is also a big plus for me and one of the main downsides to using just one in-ear earbud. Plus I get normal surround sound of the world around me in addition to stereo music. I think it's just one of the best daily-wear inventions yet. The Pro2 over the Pro1 any day! I'm serious about the extra sound drivers to pump that bass without skull rattling. It's a real comfort boost. You can change it to fully vibration mode in the app, but I've only done that on my Pro2 to show people how bad the Pro1 is lol.

Some of the best headphones if you don't like having stuff in your ears. I often have to check to see if I still have them on since they're so lightweight. The buttons respond immediately and make clear sounds when pressed. They of course can't do noise canceling and in loud environments can be drowned out by ambient noise but they have a great sound profile and can even be a bit bass-y. Great for hearing whats going on around you while also listening to some thing else. Charging is super easy and doesn't take long, I've yet to ever completely drain the battery on them and would often wear them all day, not constantly playing anything mind you, but even when they were in constant use their battery life was more than enough to make it. I am thankful they moved to USB C however, I would often forget the cable the first version came with in my car causing me to have to go looking for it when I finally got that voice notification stating they needed to be charged. As previously mentioned they're so light weight, portable and comfortable that I often have to check to make sure I have taken them off.

These headphones are really good if you want to hear what’s going on around you while listening to music or podcasts. They’re super comfortable and easy to wear, even for a long time. They work great in normal situations, like walking around or doing stuff at home. Music sounds good, and once things are quiet, everything is clear. But in loud environments, they don’t work as well. For example, when I’m power washing my car, I can barely hear talk radio or podcasts. The same thing happens when I’m running and cars drive by—it gets hard to hear voices. Music is still okay, but talking is harder to understand. Overall, they’re really good for comfort and safety, especially for runs or everyday use. I just wish they were a little louder.

These are a really good pair of earphones. They live up to the title of mini, as they are quite portable and not bulky at all. It's cordless, and the thing fits snugly on your head, so it's hassle free unless it gets tangled in your hair. It's pretty useful for exercise and everyday use, as you can hear the audio clearly, but also the rest of the world. It also has stereo, which is useful for enthusiasts. I haven't really pushed it to its limits, but they seem pretty durable and flexible.

This is my second pair of Shokz. The first performed well. Not great. But pretty good. Sound quality wasn’t what I had wished for, but not bad. Battery life was better than headsets I’d had in the past. But it took a long time to charge. The microphone was very good and nobody ever suspected I was using earphones. And I could mow my lawn with ear plugs in and still listen to music. This version is an obvious upgrade. Sound quality is top notch is my opinion. I’m not an audiophile, but I think I notice sound quality as well as most people. As good as my apple pros. Battery life is amazing. I haven’t measured it, but I’m sure you could listen to these the entire day and not worry about running out of juice. Recharging is also surprisingly fast. That’s another massive improvement over the last version. The microphone remains excellent. Controls work well and easy to understand and use. I also wanted to say Shokz customer service is top notch. Had a problem with my first OpenRun Pro 2 battery. But I was able to use the warranty and get a second set in a short period. No problems and the tone of communication was always friendly.

This was my choice. Overall they are the best for me. Open ear so I can hear everything. Serious all day comfort. I quite often forgot that I was wearing them all throughout work. They are great at the gym, or running. I love the physical control buttons. They are the best. Multiplying connection was pretty good, it automatically connected to my phone and my TV. There is sometimes a delay and sound to video when connected to the TV, but other times it's more accurate. Now for some drawbacks, if you're laying your head against a pillow, the headset will shift. If there was something shokz can do to fix that, that would be so awesome. For me, I've been spoiled by other Bluetooth earbud companies with the putting on to turn on feature, as well as a charging case. Shokz next version should have a charging case as well as wear detection.

Item is very good and I use it every single day, somehow, the power button failed to work. I contacted the vendor for the warranty. Without any questions and drama, they arranged the pickup and delivery. After a couple of days, I received a brand new item in unopened box.
