I can’t recommend Open Farm RawMix Ancient Grains Wild-Ocean Recipe for Dogs enough! My dog is incredibly picky, and after trying countless brands, this is the one she finally loves. She’s a 2-year-old medium-sized Jindo mix, and this food has been an absolute lifesaver.The kibble size is just right—small and easy for her to eat—and the mix of kibble, bone broth, and freeze-dried raw pieces keeps her interested every mealtime. No more turning up her nose or leaving food untouched! 🐕‍🦺Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side, but honestly, it’s so worth it. I’d rather spend a bit more on something she loves and benefits from than waste money on food she won’t touch. Plus, knowing it’s made with high-quality, humanely raised protein and non-GMO fruits and veggies gives me confidence that she’s getting the best nutrition possible.Since switching to this, I’ve noticed her coat looking shinier and her energy levels improving, which reassures me it’s not just tasty but also super nutritious. We’ve subscribed to ensure we always have it on hand—it’s that good. Highly recommend it to anyone with a picky eater at home! 🐾🐟

My girls can be a little picky with their food, but they love this one! They get excited at mealtime and always finish their bowls. It seems to be gentle on their stomachs, and I’ve noticed their coats look shinier and healthier since switching. I also appreciate the quality ingredients—makes me feel good knowing I’m feeding them something that’s both tasty and nutritious. Definitely a win in our house!

This is a great dog food my dog loves it and his bowel movement it good and solid

Fed my GSD/Old English Sheepdog mix Open Farm Large Breed puppy food for her first 18 months after adopting her at 4 mos of age and she has been healthy and fit but started getting finicky over her puppy food. It was time to wean her from puppy kibble onto an adult formula to avoid her becoming overweight, and she transitioned to the Raw Mix Ancient Grains with no problems at all. She LOVES this food! She runs to the food bin every morning and devours her meal with no finickyness at all. Unlike her puppy food, she will eat this without any topper added (forgot one morning) but I do still add a couple tablespoons of Halo beef and salmon skin topper and a couple of scoops of Organix probiotic to make sure her GI system stays healthy because she tends to be sensitive in that area. This food actually smells good too, and the freeze dried pieces are generous, plentiful and soft, like training treats. She loves this food and it's worth the price because she eats it, has plenty of energy and though she was starting to show signs of being a little too pudgy when I switched from puppy food she seems to have trimmed down a bit. I am not worried about her being overweight now as she reaches her full maturity.

I am really picky about what my dogs eat and will never complain about the price of a good food, especially when all 3 of my dogs LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it - which is rare to find all 3 of them liking the same food so that was worth 5 stars; however, the only reason I did not give it a full 5 stars is because the Wild Ocean Recipe has a VERY, VERY strong fish smell so you have to put it in a container of some sort as when I got home from work one day my house literally smelled like fish. When it is feeding time, you are going to get that heavy scent so you need to make sure to put away any leftovers and not leave it in the bowls. I also wish they made bigger bags other than the 20 pound bag but I will still continue to buy this brand as long as my dogs are eating it. (For the record, I purchase the 20 pound bags so if you are buying the smaller bags like the 3.5 pound bag, you may not get that overpowering smell of fish - I just know the bigger bags I get fumigate my entire house, lol.)

Extremely high quality in every batch! Other food I buy can have big variations between batches, Open Farm always appears the same with great quality you can check with the QR code. I think it’s currently one of the best foods you can buy.

My year old Whippet has always had a sensitive stomach. It's been a real stressful year for us to find the best way to alleviate his bowel issues.We have done a food intolerance test (not 100% reliable but definitely a great guide) and chicken was not an issue for him which is surprising.Initially when feeding him this food his bowel movement were still terrible - but after soaking the kibble till it because soft through and through it is like night and day. Every dog is different so if you are in the same boat as we were with Kai - I would recommend soaking it. It doesnt smell great but they think it smells delicious haha.Pros:- Fantastic quality and all traceable- Love the freeze dried raw bits- Kibble doesnt smell great in general but the dry form of this kibble is actually pretty tolerable haha- Love that is has 31% protein- Appreciate that the first 3 ingredients are protein- NO protein by-productsCons:- It's quite expensive for a 20 pound bag (In my opinion but I will pay for it for the well being of my furchild)- Wish there was more freeze dried raw bitsOverall - I will purchase it again. I tried other big brands and it just made my dog's stool worse (even the sensitive skin/stomach recipe)
