Deeper flavor than any chili crisp I've tried
The umami is what sets this apart. Most chili oils give you heat and not much else. This one has actual layers to it. You get the toastiness of the chili flakes first, then something savory and almost sweet underneath from the aromatics (garlic, shallot, star anise, a little cinnamon). It lingers in a good way instead of just burning off. Heat is present but restrained, so it doesn't bulldoze whatever you're putting it on. I've had it on eggs, rice, noodles, and straight off the spoon. Avocado oil base means it doesn't taste heavy or greasy either. My gut feels good when I eat it too. Worth the price over the supermarket options. Will be reordering.

added level of flavor over basic chili crisp oil. You may not like it so look at ingredients
I like it, and will probably order again. I have the mildest option. I dont mind heat, but I figured I would start with a mild version. It has a little warmth, not hot. Though that may depend on how much is used. I dont use much at a time. There is a layer of flavor present that is not in typical chili crisp oils. Take a look at the ingredients and you will see why. The cinnamon, cardamom and star anise add an earthy, warm spicy. I like it a lot. BUT if you are just wanting a straight heat from typical chili crisp oils (usually just peppers, garlic and shallot), then you may not like the added depth of flavor. I find it unique, interesting, and enjoy having it as an option. I also keep a jar of regular chili crisp oil in my fridge alongside it. I grab whatever I am in the mood for. I often use this Redbloom oil.. I just really like the added punch of flavor. Think I will go with their next level of heat. I like that it uses avocado oil. I used to not pay attention to what oil was used in these jars, and now I am avoiding most oils. SO old ones will be used up, and so long as I continue to like this, I will be continuing with it as my chili crisp oil. I like using it on sardines, salmon, eggs. I no longer eat pasta, but def would have used this on noodle bowl night of the past. I dont rate on price. It is reasonable to me. It is in line with other chili crisps.

Mild Umami is sooo freaking good
Really impressed with this chili oil. I love that it doesnโt use seed oils, and it still tastes amazing. The garlic, mushrooms, and crispy bits give it a ton of flavor, and I pretty much put it on any Asian food I make at home. Itโs definitely spicy, but not so hot that it takes over everything. Just a really good balance of heat and flavor. It does thicken up a little in the fridge, so I usually give it a good stir before using it. Definitely recommend.

Mild is perfect for my family members
I got the mild version of this sauce and itโs perfect because I have family members that canโt handle the super spicy one. This one is just as delicious! Iโm in love with these chili sauce made with avocado oil!

Middling, but grows on you
Not terrible, but the balance of spices seems off, maybe a slight bitterness. Itโs also not very crunchy compared to other brands. Update: The flavor has grown on me. It works better when cooked out, and the flavor gets more mellow. Note that while it lists organic ingredients, the product itself is not certified organic.

Easy to add to anything!
Really tasty and super easy to add to anything. It has a lot of flavor without being too spicy. I tend to add this to a lot of my rice and noodle dishes as a great topper.

Oil separates out while cooking, leaves a red ring around the pot
I bought this brand because it was highly recommended in something I was reading. The taste is pretty good and it's spicy enough, but what I really didn't like was that it left a red oil slick on top of the pot of food while cooking (and after) and a red oil ring around the pot. The qualities of the ingredients are good, except for the oil slick. Another brand that I bought in the store before I ordered this one did not do that. The oil slick issue didn't affect the taste of the food, but it was just visually annoying to see it. I want the chili crisp to mix into the food like the other ingredients. So I will not buy this brand again.

โ โ โ โ โ Mild, Fragrant, and Easy on the Stomach
The mild version of this Sichuan chili oil delivers the aromatic Sichuan flavor without the intensity you would normally get. It's gently warming and beautifully balanced, with an avocado oil base that keeps it smooth and easy to digest. It's perfect for those who want depth of flavor rather than heat, and it elevates everything from noodles to eggs. If you still want chili oil flavor but donโt canโt handle the burn of spice, this is the sauce for you.
