Great on almost everything - wonderful on wheatgrass and leafy greens!
I had read some of the poor reviews on this unit on here, but then went scouting for more reviews on the net and found some really good ones. I am on a tight budget and can't afford these units that are well over $300 but was ready to get on my new years resolutions hahaha. Figured this is a great starter unit for the price.I have used a Jack LaLanne juicer before and also used my friends twin-gear juicer. Is this the 100% best juicer on the market? No, probably not. Is it pretty amazing at certain things, fits within my budget - YES. I feel like some of the folks were expecting the quality of a $300 juicer out of this $180 juicer. My expectations were FAR EXCEEDED.Does an amazing job on wheatgrass, spinach, kale, etc (which is the main purpose I got it anyway). I have tried carrots and it is good, not great. I've tried celery, does a just fine job. Apples, not so great. If you are looking for something that does the above like me, then get it. Great value. If you are looking for some super-star unit, then go spend the $300 if you can afford it.BEST PART: SO EASY TO CLEAN!!!!!!!! Like I said, I had the Jack juicer years ago and it was a pain in the rear to clean..hence, I barely used it. This one is beyond simple. Three parts..rinse..done. There isn't a screen except for the juice catcher to sift pulp should you not want pulp.Lastly - I liked that it has a 50-year warranty...Hope this helps people

For occasional juicing this is a great option!
This is a great product and I recommend it for anyone who wants to juice and preserve the live enzymes and/or juice grasses and leafy greens. The only reasons I don't give it 5 stars is that the pulp is still moist so I know I'm not getting all the juice I can, and it's kind of slow. I now am a heavy duty (daily) juicer so I've had to purchase a heavier duty juicer, but if I was still just juicing occasionally, I'd be pleased as punch to have this Lexen. It's easy to assemble/disassemble and clean. And even though I have my new juicer, I'm keeping this horizontal mascerator because I think it's better than vertical mascerators for grasses.

Disappointed, to say the least...
After reading extensively about the 'differences' between a masticating juicer like this and a centrifugal juicer like a Jack Lallane Power Juicer, I bought this product. I was very disappointed in its juice output, as well as the time it took to prep the food and extract the juice. Nowhere in the instruction guide does it indicate how long this takes to get even a little juice (which is all I got - a little juice. It simply did not do what it claims it could do regarding output.) And nowhere in the ads does it indicate how much prep time is needed to slice everything down to the size needed to insert it into the juicer. Relatively speaking, this is a very time consuming product to use. They claim that the slow crushing motion of this type of juicer yields more and 'better' juice, because the centrifugal juicer uses high speed and therefore generates higher heat which somehow degrades or damages some of the nutrients in the juice. I don't buy it. They also claim their juice can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days, whereas the other juicer's juice must be drank within a few hours. That may be true, but it is really a non-important feature. Everyone I know who juices (including me), drinks the juice right away, or within a few hours anyway. Being able to store it for a couple days is a pretty useless feature, IMO. A centrifugal juicer is much faster, much more convenient and easy to use, and just as easy to clean up as this style is. It's also a lot cheaper. I returned this and got a JL Power Juicer. Very, very happy with that product, and saved some money, too.

The dripping/waste of the juice onto machine/counter isn't preventable.
I rotate the veggies from carrot to leafy greens and get a satisfactory yield.Yes, pulp is wet and I always rerun it through the chute. The higher water content of the veggie, the more times it takes to run it through to get dry pulp.My BIGGEST complaint, could be user error, is that due to the amount of foam created, the juice ends up missing the receptacle and drips down side of juicer and onto the counter.I watch carefully and with a small spatula I wipe away the foam as it gathers on top of the sieve and it STILL drips! Such a waste and messy clean up.I juice four cups of veggie juice a day so this gets tiresome quickly. I haven't seen this specIgor complaintmentioned elsewhere yet I'm sure it occurs.I'm on a quest for a more efficient juicer for leafy greens. If you know of one, please let me know!

My $20 juicer I bought several years ago actually works better than this one
I am returning this juicer because it is disappointing. My $20 juicer I bought several years ago actually works better than this one. Here are the pros and cons of this machine:Pros:It does extract all of the pulp.It is quiet.Clean up is quite easy.Cons:Not very powerful.Vegetables, such as carrots - you have to cut into small pieces (frustrating)It is slow so it takes much longer to complete a batch.Several pieces to keep track of and easy to lose. When I juiced apples, I really only got apple sauce.I did not try the pasta or peanut butter so I cannot rate that. Hope my review helps.

Amazing customer service, FANTASTIC for wheatgrass
I've used several juicers, this is the first masticating however. I purchased this to juice wheatgrass. This juicer is fabulous!Super easy to assemble and clean. I had some questions and concerns about a couple things and the President of the company immediately replied with fantastic customer service! I can honestly say I've never experienced such great customer service by any company online OR local. Next attempt will be to use this juicer for carrots and beets. Highly recommended, ESPECIALLY for the cost. I don't know what else one might need in a juicer
