I have got the facewash and the moisturiser. Do I use the facewash everynight and morning and then apply the moisturiser straight after? Is that right

I bought this as a present,but would think it best to use face wash morning and night,would think moisturiser would be more useful in daytime as would protect your skin in the cold.
