Works wonders!!
This stuff is amazing!! Apologies in advance for the graphic detail... I gave birth to my baby boy 10 weeks ago, and unfortunately I suffered a 2nd degree tear and needed a lot of stitches. A few weeks after giving birth some of my stitches came away, causing a small gaping wound at the perineal area. I was so uncomfortable and it always got me down. Anytime I had to go to the toilet I had to use a jug of water to relieve the stinging sensation :-( and it was uncomfortable whenever I had sexual intercourse with my hubby :'( I went for my 6 week postpartum check up at the doctors and they just told me it should heal itself and its very unlikely they will restitch the area. I came away feeling even more upset and disappointed as I felt I was getting fobbed off and they didn't offer a cream or ointment to even help heal the area quicker. It wasn't until I spoke to a friend about it when she recommended I use Manuka honey. She said it works wonders on cuts/grazes, and said I should give it a go. I was initially hesitant to buy the product as I wasn't sure how it would react on a sensitive area, but at that point I was willing to try anything and everything to help me heal quicker. Well, after applying the honey (once a day) within a week I couldn't believe the difference!! The redness had completely gone, and the gap was closing up! I was so happy, I could have cried with joy!! The gel is a godsend, and I highly recommend it to anyone!! Delighted!!

Medi honey c section care
I used this after my c section to help the quicker healing process of my stitches, it was so easy to apply, kept my skin in good condition and prevented any oozing or my stitches coming undone, I placed it on with some gauze and it worked so so well, it was a bit sticky but it stopped my overhang sweating. I would say it was so useful, you only need a small amount the price is brilliant for what it does.

Bought for eczema
I have eczema on my eyelids and am highly allergic to almost all creams- they make my nose and eyes run continuously. My eyelids get open weeping sores if I don't use any creams when I want a break from the runny eyes/nose. So pleased I found this product. It repairs the open wounds overnight. Like magic. And there is nothing in this that I am allergic to. It is very very sticky and very thick so I can't use it in all circumstances because my eczema is only on my eyes, but it is the most important part in my eczema arsenal. I urge you to give this a try.

It does an excellent job!
I have found this Medihoney gel particularly useful on treating an abcess on my upper leg after minor surgery. The gel adds protection against infection and aids the healing process. It was recommended by the hospital and is truly wonderful stuff! It's also easy to apply - once you get it out of the tube. Alas, the gel is so thick that can be a nightmare! I have found that putting the tube into a mug of warm water just before use, really helps. A couple of minutes is sufficient to adequately soften things up. My other gripe was the ridiculous amount of packaging - 4 layers! What a waste Amazon. Anyway, hence the 4 stars. This gel is not cheap but a 50g tube should last for ages. It is remarkable stuff......

Great Product - Bad Service from Phamacy Direct
If you even think you might need this wound care honey product BUY IT! Many years ago my father had his right leg amputated and ended up getting MRSA super bug in the wound which then wouldn't heal. We became desperate as this was rapidly turning into a life threatening situation. A friend told us about this honey wound care so we tried it. The surgeon said go ahead and try it (they didn't know what else to do). About 2 - 3 days later it started to heal! It was like a miracle! If buying from Pharmacy Direct I would advise checking with them first that they have it in stock, as it took them 8 days to post my recent order for a friend as they didn't have it in stock and didn't tell me! This Wound Gel is amazing - BUY IT!!!

Miracle in a tube
This stuff is amazing!!! I had bought it as a last Hope as my daughters scab on her foot was getting larger and more disgusting everyday. I had tried all the usual remedies (sudocream, Savlon spray etc) to no avail. However, in 24 hours after using this, the scab was looking immensely better. Furthermore nearly a week later it is well and truly on the mend and nearly healed. If you have kids this is a must for your first aid box. Or even if you don’t it’s that good! I was in no way paid for this review or the product. I bought it on a whim and am just wanting to share how great it has been for me.

Good, but not magic
I've been plagued with a string of infected ingrown hairs over the last few months, which start out as little blisters and then turn into full-on infected ulcers that are several centimetres in size. After my 4th course of antibiotics to clear it up, I started looking for supplemental therapies to help stymie the effects of this latest battle with injection. That led to manuka honey, and this product in particular. I applied the cream for the first time on Monday (it's now Friday), to a blister that was in its early stages. Despite a thick application of the gel twice a day, the blister still grew into its usual monster by the next day. Along with a course of co-amoxiclav and heaping spoonfuls of UMF 15+ manuka several times per day, the ulcer is in retreat. Clearly, this gel alone wasn't sufficient to keep it at bay. So, I'd advise anyone using this product to be realistic about its effects. It's definitely not magic, and probably won't replace the need for antibiotics in instances where they're usually needed! I'm also disappointed that the strength isn't mentioned anywhere on the packaging. There's no UMF rating, or any indication of its methylglyoxal activity anywhere on the packaging. The official literature on the Comvita site says the MGO is over 355mg/KG, which would put this somewhere around 12+. But, without any official rating to compare it to, I'm not sure. Ideally for bacterial infections, I'd be hoping for 20+ (which would probably make this product a lot more expensive but potentially more effective, too.) Overall, this is a good gel to apply to a cut/minor injury and I would continue to use it, but only in conjunction with heavier-duty relief such as antibiotics when they're needed! Unglaubliche Wirksamkeit!
