Millie and the Warm Wind

I bought this book for my 4 year old daughter, and she absolutely loved it. She wanted us to read it over and over again. She still loves it! It is such a wonderful story of love and healing. I read it myself and sat there with tears running down my face. I could feel that 5 year old inside me and the pain we all collect in our hearts throughout our lives. So healing. Get this for your child, nephew, niece or grandchild but also read it yourself and let it heal your heart. Highly recommend

I love this book so much and think it should be in every home and school! A child misinterprets her Father’s good intentions and begins to feel not good enough and unworthy. Millie then goes on an enchanting journey and discovers how to resolve her conflicting emotions and returns to joy as her relationship with her dad is restored. This story will help every child and adult who reads it discover a true sense of self that is valuable, worthy and loved. The story is engaging and the illustrations are captivating!

I’m an elementary school counselor and this book has been a wonderful addition to my social-emotional library. The artwork is beautiful and the message always resonates with the students I read it with: you are loved, you are special, you are important and I care about you. I worked with a second-grade student recently who frequently struggled with negative self-talk and this book helped him a lot. I love the concept of The Warm Wind and how easy it is for young children to relate to the idea that character embodies, like an imaginary friend or comforting spiritual presence.

This sweet book is perfect for any kid, but especially girls 6-10yo when the struggle with worry, self doubt, negative self talk, and insecurities begin to plant their way into these little hearts. Millie is ashamed and overwhelmed by her negative thoughts, when she runs away the Warm Wind comes to comfort her and speaks truths over her that she claims. Seriously gets me every time I read it.Buy several to have on hand for gifts!

I love this book and the message that it shares. Millie suffers with self doubt and insecurities and the Warm Wind comes to comfort her and remind her that she is brave and strong. Such a beautifully written book.
