I need 1 or 2 shades darker than buff beige with warm tones, suggestions?

How to use without spilling everywhere¿ I bought this a few days ago and whenever I try to use it, I spill it all over my makeup table and jeans!

I put a makeup sponge over the top and apply with the sponge. Just the right amount will remain in the sponge once the makeup is put back upright.
