Blue Sea SystemsHD-Series Heavy Duty Battery Switch

This very heavy duty battery system on/off 600 amp switch is typical Blue Sea System design quality. The knob turn action is very positive, with clear position indication. The 12mm threaded terminals are designed for heavy current use. It should give good service for a long time. The only additional feature that would be useful for me, is a small LED indicator to confirm when the current output is switched on.

Usual Blue Sea quality. Needed a cut out capable of 500A for a winch, this fits that bill for less than the cost of their ML Battery Switch I’ve used previously plus I wanted to be able to switch between two winches.

I needed a heavy duty switch for my motorhome chassis battery, which runs all of the hydraulics, as well as the normal engine, starting and accessories. This switch works well and should provide many years of service.

Used to install a dual battery system in my K5. Worked exactly as intended. However, my alternator is an internal regulator so I could not utilize the A.F.D (Alternator Field Disconnect) as I was intending. Not a fault of the product or seller. But I would have ordered the non-AFD unit if I had seen this before ordering. Build quality is excellent, and the switch has a very positive feel without being to hard to switch when in the engine bay. I ran 2/0 cable with 1/2" cable ends and it easily fit underneath when mounted. Could easily go to bigger cable if needed for your application. All Blue Sea products are top notch and they are my first stop for anything electrical.
