Love this tent!! I would buy in a heartbeat!
I was dubious when I read that the fly could block out 90% of the light, but boy was I wrong. It was like I had stepped into a cave; it was so dark! My kids now actually sleep in when we camp instead of waking up before the crack of dawn once light starts streaming into the tent. It's easy to set up with minimal work. Normally, I struggle to put it away, but not with this one. I love that the directions are sewn inside the bag, so I won't ever lose them. I have yet to have any kind of leakage, and I love how big it is.

I can never sleep in a regular tent again
Absolutely loved it but I need a bigger size so I returned. The blackout is amazing. If your cover is off obviously that effect disappears but with the covers on it’s nice and dark even in the morning. I don’t think I can ever go back. Super easy to set up. The smaller size is good for one adult that likes to spread out. Ventilation is good but will remove blackout effect. Luckily it was still chilly while I used it so yes to the dark! Didn’t get wet because I was also under a pop up. I always recommend tarps below and above and a small trench around your tarp for rainy times - but I didn’t need it. Price point is high but if you’re able to use the blackout it’s worth it. Quality is fine, I replant day it is the most amazing thing ever but by today’s Coleman standards it held up.

poor ventilation
pretty dark not hard to set up ventilation is bad tho felt like i was in a hot box only one window lol honestly in the images it didn’t show that there was only one window i recommend buying a fan or two it does get really hot in here other than that its pretty spacious so if you like being hot i recommend this tent i mean even on cold nights you stay warm 😸 :))

Really keeps interior of tent dark
This tent really blocks the light. I've only used it once but I was able to sleep later than daybreak. I'm a light sleeper so noise and light will disturb my sleep. I'm glad I got this tent

decent tent. used to be good value. at new prices maybe not.
I havre used this tent a lot. I am on my second one. main complaints first - its wind tolerance is barely what they say. it has to be perfectly pitched with every single line perfectly tied down. fair enough. I had a rod crack from moderate gusts though. it's just a bad tent to pitch if there isn't anything to block the wind. the whole thing flexes in an exaggerated way. its surprising it doesn't break at lower gusts like 20 mph second ... t just breaks down over time I had it under a tree fire a few months in central Texas (march thru June) it was pretty well sheltered from elements and midday sun I used it on a few drips last summer and by the fall it was easily tearing. similar to clothing that becomes threadbare. I got a few tears in perfectly straight lines I did get a new one. I like the design. I love being able to take the fly off and sunbathe. I did get the warranty on the new tent.

Save the box!
Coleman is normally a reliable brand, but this tent is horrible. And stupidly I waited until I was on a camping trip to try it for the first time so I was stuck using it for three days. It gets SO HOT during the day I had to fully remove the rain fly every day for airflow. The attached poles are advertised as a selling point, but they just make set up and tear down much more of a hassle. Then to add insult to injury, I had to pay $12.50 for an oversized box at UPS to return the stupid thing. Buyer beware.

6 person tent for two and a toddler
We upgraded from a 4 person ozark trail to this 6 person dark tent and wow! The extra room is what I was really going for because having a toddler who wants to sleep in his own cot is what made me look for a new one.. and to start off with… wow What a difference. First off it’s not 100% dark the floor has a bit of light bleed through but fine and also between the rain fly gaps. Giving you a 90% darkness. Enough to take a nap inside and with its extra coating it felt cooler than our old tent. Especially when all the down guys are staked out. This model came with a pre attached style tent pole which made setup rather easy but a little difficult to fold up took some practice but after my 3rd camping trip in this tent I got a system down. Make sure you cut out the white wrapper in the tent bag before stuffing it inside

Durability Issues
I wanted this tent for easy setup, ample space and to block the light while sleeping. The setup is pretty easy. The poles are attached at one end and fit into a fabric pocket on the opposite corner. I setup the tent once at home no issue, but on the second setup at camp the fabric pocket ripped. I attached a picture for reference. The blackout feature works well, but I noticed small holes in the rain fly that are visible during the day when the sunlight comes through. Lastly, I know there aren’t more windows because the point of the tent is to control the light inside, but it makes for a very hot interior during the day. I liked the ease of setup and the tent is roomy and tall inside, there’s a small cargo net that goes along the top and you can stash a small light or sunglasses etc. But the durability is severely lacking and I don’t expect this tent will last long. I’m also bothered by the immediate holes in the rainfly. The tent was out in the open in comfortable weather. There should not have been holes in the rainfly after one use. As a side note, the interior is so dark with the rainfly on that even during the day you might need flashlights to look through your bags or find things unless you leave the door unzipped. If a little light here or there doesn’t bother you, I’d say the darkroom feature is more hassle than it’s worth. Overall I would not recommend this tent.

Me gustó mucho pero compraría la de 8 personas
le cupo un colchón inflable individual y uno matrimonial, le hace falta una ranura para introducir un cable hacia el interior. Es excelente para los que no nos deja dormir la claridad
