Earth & Vine Provisions Red Bell Pepper and Ancho Chili Jam, 10 Ounce

I first sampled this product when I was in Fort Myers, Florida over the Thanksgiving Holiday in 2012. They were giving samples at a fruit market. The recipe calls for 8 ounces of cream cheese, 8 ounces of Mascarpone cheese, 2 cups of finely shredded cheddar cheese, 2 cups of grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup of light mayonnaise and 1/2 of a medium red onion, chopped fine. You just whip all these ingredients together, form it into a flat log, approximately 10 x 10, and pour a bottle of this jam on top. I let it sit in the fridge for a couple hours to gel. I've made this six times since then. The first was for a Christmas party at my house. Next I made some to bring into the office. Then I made some for a bachelor's party in Panama last December and again for New Year's Eve. I recently made some for my wife to take as a dish to an international food sampling and I just made another batch two days ago for home use. The combination of those cheeses and this jam topping, serve on top of any type of crackers, is simply the best cheese snack I have ever had. This jam rocks... straight like that!

The price is ridiculous.

I tried this when in CA for my cousins wedding and we had it in her suite to eat with cream cheese and crackers as a snack. I LOVED it. It's very good.So, when I came back to Hawaii, I had to order it! AMAZON has the BEST price for this, FYI! The Earth and Vine company is STELLAR! ALL their stuff is sooo yummy! You can really get creative with what you use it for... I have tried it on warmed brie, its really good that way for sure. Just warm the brie in the oven, and pour on top in the oven and take out and use some nice CARRS crackers. This steller is AMAZING! They will only charge you the $5 or so to ship as many as you want. I ordered 6 so I wouldnt run out. It's the perfect appetizer to bring with you to any party to make it seem as if you worked really hard... lol! My husband used this on meatballs the other night, and said they were fantastic!

Too thin, a little short on flavor, too expensive for what you get...it’s just okay

I love this ! Mix it with cream cheese and soft bacon bits and you have a awesome thick sweet and tangy dip !

It was a gift for a friend,who reported they loved it! Used as a marinade for pork. Worked well.

Wonderful for an appetizer spooned over creamed cheese, and served with crackers.

Chef John published a salmon recipe where this jelly was an ingredient in the glaze. I thought, where would I find THAT, and lo and behold, Amazon had it! By Thanksgiving I still had not made the salmon recipe and needed a little something with a kick to serve on our cheese board. This chili jam was a huge hit on crackers as well as over goat cheese.
