I will change this if things improve but so far I am not impressed unfortunately. I really had high hopes and was willing to pay the extra for the capsules and the fact that they are hot water processed. If you know anything about decaffeinated coffee, if it's not water processed decaffeinated, they use chemicals such as ones used in nail polish remover to decaffeinate! I know this is a simpler process but there's nothing that really says how they process the other kinds, especially the popular uncoated tablets, so I thought I would give this one a try. There must be something to this processing to justify the price point. I had super high hopes because I have really bad reflux. I always have to sleep with my head kind of elevated and I go through stages where it goes on and on and I can have acid jump up in my throat at night and then I sometimes go to the bathroom and vomit up to 10 times from the reaction. Then your throat burns afterwards and you don't get a lot of sleep! It got to the point one time I vomited so often from acid that it took very little to trigger me to vomit, and I hate vomiting! I asked the doctor once and they said there's nothing they can really do other than a serious surgery (rebuilding your esophagus from the acid damage ) that they didn't recommend. I don't know if I'm at that stage because they never sent me to a specialist or looked. Anyhow, on top of minimal relief these caused me to burp, to have loose stools that almost had a metallic? smell to it? I still feel that the acids right there, it just hasn't jumped up in my mouth, yet. I still feel the burn sitting just below the surface leaving me with that uncomfortable feeling still. I was hoping to find something more natural but for the moment Iget much faster, better relief from Pepcid Complete. I can't take a lot of these to see if there's a greater change because it's bad to take large amounts of sodium bicarbonate. The two nights I've tried these capsules I've ended up having to take a Pepcid also which I feel I shouldn't need. I'm bummed but won't be ordering again. I still might try them for another day or two and if things get better I will note that.
