GenCare Cetirizine HCl 10mg Allergy Relief, 24-Hr Non-Drowsy, 300 Ct

My ENT suggested a few years ago that I take an allergy medicine every day and I alternate between "Zyrtec" and "Claritin" (I never buy the actual brand names). I do this so as not to develop a tolerance for one or the other. I do find that Cetrizine HCl tends to work a bit better for me. It's a teeny little pill so it's very easy to swallow, although if you don't have it in the right spot in your mouth, it actually can end up in the side of your mouth and you haven't swallowed it, so just be aware. I have had no side effects from this medication and it's a very good deal for hte money, particularly when you buy it in this size of 300 tablets. It's just as effective as the name brand, but for a lot lower price - don't know why you'd even bother buying the brand name.

I've had issues with my eyes since Nov 2025 and been using allergy eye drops recommended by my optometrist. I wasn't getting the relief I'd hoped for so after discussing it with a pharmacist added an oral daily tablet to see if it would help. It didn't completely eliminate the symptoms I was having but alleviated a great deal of them and so I ordered a larger bottle so I didn't have to order them often. The cost savings for buying in a larger container was decent and so far it's been effective. I'm not getting 100% relief from my symptoms but enough so that I'll continue to take these daily.

Great allergy relief, especially during allergy season here in the Midwest! It feels like I can't breathe after mowing the grass, and the cottonwood trees and all the other pollen have been absolutely killing my sinuses. This over-the-counter allergy relief has really helped me get through the season. I also love that it's non-drowsy because I can't be walking around half asleep during the day. It's affordable too, which is a huge plus when you need allergy medicine regularly. For the price, the relief, and the fact that it doesn't make me drowsy, I'm definitely happy with this purchase. Affordable, non-drowsy allergy relief that helps me get through brutal Midwest pollen season.

Sometimes it works well for my allergies, and sometimes it doesn’t seem to help much. In my experience, it hasn’t been as effective as some other brands I’ve purchased. It’s still a good value for 200 tablets, but I wish the results were more consistent.
