2 Pack Hairline Powder for Women and Men, Used to Root Touch Up Hair Color, Thinning and Gray Hair Coverage and Bald Spots Coverage, Brown

LOVE it! This is my 3rd brand purchase of hair powder. Each one I liked better than the other, not knowing what it was I was missing..just knowing they weren't perfect, hoping to get something a little better. I don't think I need anything "better" after finding this brand. Bought the lt. coffee color (having discovered the color with my 2nd brand purchase, a much better tone than the dark blonde option, but the 2nd brand had little depth, staying power, or pigment richness ..but it was a closer tone/color for my needs). This brand has it all for me, AND it is a terrific match for my eyebrows which are thinning with my age. Finding the eyebrow match has been the same journey as the hair powder..always finding something "good enough", but still lacking..never "perfect". This stuff has proven to be my "PERFECT" match in hair color for my thinning hairline AND my eyebrows. Seriously, I bought this one because it was a 2 pack and therefore cheaper than my other one (which I was having to really layer on just to get the richness in color for coverage. I was going thru the powder at a much faster rate, and didnt like having to return to purchase sooner than I thought i should). Anyways, this stuff (for me) covers, matches, stays ..without layering. This lt coffee color is a better match for me in THIS brand. If youre a medium to dark blonde with random summer lightened hair (or old lightened colored hair) growing out in random stages ..could be a great match! I have a cool skin tone (naturally on the pale side..but not porcelain) and light eyes. (In the photo, u may think its not on my eyebrows..it is! they are just that thin now and basically what u see IS the hair powder (i am NOT a fan of those heavy, bold, bushy eyebrows younger women sport now..I just need an eyebrow, a natural age appropriate eyebrow)

I've tried sprays, coloring sponge tips and more. This product is excellent. Great coverage and no black smears on my hands if I touch my hair.

I paid $8.49 for this, which was less than half of any of the other similar products I was considering, so I knew going in that I may be sacrificing a bit of quality. But for that price, I was willing to gamble and consider it a bonus if it worked out. It came as a pack of 2, packaged nicely with Q-tips and a small, double-sided, precision applicator brush (good for eyebrows). There is also a soft pad for heavier, broader application cleverly stored in the bottom of each container. It does, in fact, work pretty well and as advertised, and I can see myself using it with some regularity. My scalp was markedly less visible at the front of my hairline and along my part, which made me much less self-conscious. There are some drawbacks, though. I had to use a LOT of product to get good coverage. Not sure how fast I would blow through 2 jars at this rate. I don't know if some of that is technique: maybe I could get better results with less product over time? Also (maybe partly because I had to use so much product) it definitely came off onto my fingers when I touched my scalp. Not terribly, and not if you just barely graze your hand through your hair, but if you rub or scratch your scalp, it's very noticeable. If it's coming off dry, it's certain to come off wet, so I absolutely wouldn't want to be caught in the rain in this stuff, or it would probably be reminiscent of those old school nightmares with black shoe polish running down your face. Also, the amount of product used did dull the hair and make my scalp slightly itchy. Coverage faded some throughout the day, but it still looked significantly better after several hours than if I hadn't used the product at all. Overall, considering the price and that it works as advertised, I'm satisfied with it. It would probably be worth it to pay a little more IF it's for a product that doesn't come off on your fingers as much.

Dark brown was more of a black brown. I ordered this for my sister so we ordered the medium brown too. That color was better for her hair color. Small container but works better than the messy spray. Comes with hair ties and qtip swabs too. She liked the product and says it lasts all day and is not messy like the spray. Good purchase!

Does this provide coverage? Sure. Will you look like you were dragged in the mud if you touch your head? Yes! This smudges way too easily and if you touch your hair often, like I do, you will get the dreaded "you have something on face" comment. Embarrassing.

First of all, very fast shipping. More important, the color is a perfect match. I bought this stuff from a different vendor, and the color was terrible. Definitely going to make sure that I only buy it from this vendor from now on. Great coverage and blends well. Very happy with my purchase

I’ve been using these types of hair line / root cover powders for years and have tried many brands. The reality is, none cover gray hair well but they do help lessen the appearance of grays and fill in sparse areas. They help blend in gray by coloring the skin underneath. So once you understand how they work you can decide if they will work for you. I went through menopause fairly early (45) and have been struggling with thinning hair since. These hairline powders are not only good for camouflaging grays but where they really shine are when used for filling in cowlicks and bald patches, sparse areas at my temples and part. I’ve even used them in my eyebrows. This powder stays where you put it but yes, some will get on your finger tips or under your nails if you forget and scratch your head or something. I just recently started coloring my grays, so I use it in between salon visits to blend some of them in. This item performs as I expected and is a great value because you get two for the price of one. My hair is a light to medium ash brown naturally, but I’m about 20% gray now (mostly around my face and temples) and get warm highlights. I purchased the dark brown shade after reading the reviews and based on my past experience with these types of products. Light and medium brown options are pretty much always too red/warm for me. While the dark brown is the perfect ash brown shade for me, I only gave it 4 stars because the shades could use some work. I’m not sure this color would be dark enough or saturated enough for someone who actually has dark brown hair. I use the sponge this comes with to fill in larger areas like my temples but then I use a small brush from another brand’s root cover compact to fill in sparse spots along my part and other small areas. I think a densely-packed eye shadow brush would also work well for this use. I’m satisfied with my purchase and would repurchase if and when I run out. My purchase came with two so I’m all set for a good while.
