Very neat and snuggles your MAC perfectly
Had bought this after buying a wooden stand for the same price which was very disappointing. However, I was very pleased with this one! What I like about it:- It has a very small footprint on my desk.- The slit width can be adjusted with a Hex-key, which is provided. This means it will snuggle your laptop perfectly.- It has a good weight to it, and has an anti-slip silicone so it really holds in place. What I don't like about it:- It’s a bit pricey I guess!Should you buy it?- YES, definitelyIf you've found this review to be helpful, please click yes :)

Really nice product, heavy and great design... but has a major design flaw...
Ordered this vertical desktop stand for my new 2018 XPS15, looks great, heavy, stable and design is pretty good. But for one major flaw, given it's a heavy metal body for stability to hold the laptops vertically standing, the top of the slot-edges into which the laptops are put are not protected with any rubberised cover... I consequently found this would start damaging and scratching the aluminium casing of the Dell XPS15, thus returned for an alternative. If you have a plastic cased laptop you could get away with this stand, but for metal/aluminium cased laptops this isn't a practical solution, thus unfortunately not recommended until the design flaw is addressed and better rubber-covering around the top-edge slots are fitted.

Great quality but a complete scratch risk - just be careful!
This product looks great and does a great, if simple, job of holding two laptops upright to free up space on your desk. And it is adjustable to hold laptops of different thicknesses. However the metal it is made out of is an insane choice considering the expensive devices you're going to be placing in it, as it is a rough texture, and exposed in many places. It is DEFINITELY going to scratch your laptop if you accidentally brush it against this stand. The inside (where the laptops will be resting) has rubber sides and bottom, but it does not cover all metal surfaces, particularly if you expand it to hold a thicker laptop - more metal is exposed on the bottom. And the rubber does not quite go all the way up the top of the sides, meaning you really need to pay attention when moving a laptop in or out, particulary if it's metal like a MacBook. Same said for anything on your desk you might accidentally brush against it.In all I'm happy with it but am fully aware I need to be super careful around it, it should have been designed with different material and more rubber on the inside.

Works well, grip not super-sturdy
I bought this so I could run my MacBook Pro in ‘clamshell mode’ all the time on my desk without taking up too much room. It works well, and stylistically suits the all-aluminium finish of the MBP. My device is a 15in model and it fits perfectly, but the clamp is hard to tighten (not to make it tight on the laptop, to make the clamp ‘hands’ tight against the base so they don’t move) which means the fit is a tiny bit loose.

Using with two MacBooks
Bought this after buying my partner a MacBook air for her birthday and with her's and my MacBook Pro sitting around on the table I wanted to get something to hold them both safely and upright to save a bit of room. This is great for what I needed. It's very sturdy and it's much more solid than I was expecting.Comes with a little allen key to loosen/tighten the plate once you have it in the correct position, depending on the thickness of your laptop. This is great for a MacBook Pro & MacBook Air together. Keeps them both safe and snug and prevents them laying on the table like usual and potentially something being put on top of them.

so with the Omoton adjustment it looked like this would do
I have a huge 6 year old 17" Samsung laptop which has a large footprint consequently significant desk space and is heavy beast. It's basically a spare computer, having been replace by a modern desk top, but has its uses on occassion. On researching for a suitable vertical storage method I came across the Omoton vertical lap top stand and gave it a try I ordered the black version to match the piano black of the laptop. My lap top is around 3cm thick at its narrowest end, so with the Omoton adjustment it looked like this would do. It arrived via prime and on opening was presented with, at first glance a very smart well made device with significant weight, but was unsure if this smallish clamp would store the laptop safely. On testing I did find opening the clamp to the exact laptop thickness a trifle hit and miss, however I persevered and managed to fit it snugly into the jaws, once in place I sat it on my desk and the Omoton worked a treat. It is now parked up safe sound and secure. Well worth the cost. The 'new' desktop space is being put to good use

Solid and good looking accessory
I purchased this stand because my MacBook Pro was taking up space on my desk. I use it connected to an external screen and keyboard so I don't need to open it. This stand allows me to put the MBP vertically and to one side of my desk. It is a very sturdy and solid stand with sufficient weight to keep it secure and not prone to movement. It accommodates several sizes (by way of the easily adjustable bolts using the small allen key provided) and looks neat too.

You get what you pay for.
I ended up sending my one back. This is OK as a product but it has sone issues. The first is the silicon inside the clamp does not go all the way to the edge. As such I felt that eventually the hard aluminium edge of the clamp would scratch my rather expensive Apple laptop. It was for this one reason that I sent it back. The second issue is that as the laptop when in the clamp sits close to the desk it’s not as easy to take it out other than by grabbing the top of the laptop. Statistically you are eventually going to drop your laptop if you do this enough. Overall I felt this clamp was more dangerous for my laptop hence sending it back.
