Big and burly yet light and versatile
This is such an awesome selfie stick. It's nominally for underwater use but due to its size, strength and minimal weight there's no end to the uses you'll think of. I know that the product description has the 118" length front and center but you don't really appreciate how long this is until you expand the stick to full length. It's not only long but thick--that's always been important to me when I'm putting my camera in a precarious position. It's a seriously burly selfie stick that can stand up to any situation you can throw at it.Wanna guess how much it weighs? Try 'less than a pound'. It tips the scales at 325 grams/11.46 ounces. It collapses to just over a foot in length (14") meaning it is perfect to throw into your suitcase when traveling. It can take the beating of air travel and won't add significant weight. That's the beauty of carbon fiber. It comes with a GoPro style mounting attachment but since it has a 1/4" screw at the top that makes it compatible with much more than action cams. There's also a 1/4" screw hole on the bottom as well. The grip is rubberized making much easier to handle and hold onto. There's even a carrying case.Just an essential accessory for any content creator--particularly when traveling. Very highly recommended!

This thing is loooooooong!
Please open this thing outdoors, LOL. I made the mistake of opening it inside my 8' high room and suddenly I was banging the ceiling fan, and hitting the stucco!Seriusly, though, it is light, even though the carbon fiber feels a little bit too light to be... er carbon fiber. I imagine the maid the walls extra thin and that's why it feels borderline plasticky. The handle is comfortable, the carrying case is adequate, and the ubiquitous action camera adapter is nice to have. The threaded screw at the very end will accommodate the usual standard camera heads, but, be aware, this should be used for small, action, 3d or pocket cameras. The only thing I would add is, get yourself a bicycle smartphone mount and attach it close to your hand so you can connect to whatever camera you're using (if it has that capability). Otherwise, only a giraffe will be able to tell you exactly what you're shooting with it! No way you can see the camera's monitor once you extend it.On the positive side, this will allow you to do amazing, "flying" or crane shots without a drone once you learn how to manage its length...

Lightweight and convenient
I'm very happy with this long selfie stick pole.I use it for mounting various kinds of photo and video lights, together with a folding tripod based I bought separately.I have 3 other selfie sticks of similar length, yet this one is noticably lighter to transport than the others. The included carrying bag adds to the convenience.Despite its relatively light weight, it is very strong and rigid. I've had no stability concerns mounting a $500 speedlight on it.I also like the positive-locking mechanism which secures the segments in place. It is both easier to extend/retract, and more secure, than poles which use friction alone. This is my go-to long selfie stick.

Really light but strong… and really long. It extends and locks easily.
Really light but strong… and really long. It extends and locks easily. It has both the usual threaded camera mount and a GoPro mount, but with a normal camera mounted there’s no way to point it back at yourself for a selfie. There are other applications of course. But I am looking for a mount adapter to address that problem. The grip is comfy and easy to keep a good grip on. I like knowing it’s waterproof. The carrying bag is pretty nice.

Decent
So, it's super long, and lightweight. Something lacking in the deployment function. I kinda want this to work like a painter's pole, that extends when you twist it or something. I think it's a little pricey. Would like a more ergonomic, cushiony handle. Other than that, it's long AF and light, and I'm mostly pleased so far.

Limited Usage
This Brave Heart Long Selfie Stick is certainly that -- an over 7' long telescoping carbon fiber pole that feels more like a flagpole than a selfie stick in the hand. There are a few upside characteristics that I might mention. Firstly, it is gripped more easily than smaller diameter sticks I have used in the past, and given the overly generous length, it could be considered relatively lightweight, if one believes that between 12 & 13 ounces for just the stick is lighter in weight. It seems to telescope outwards and back without hanging up and there are small plastic "collars" at each additional lengthening junction that are used to "lock" the joint by turning this narrow collar clockwise. There is a 1/4" threaded female connector port at the base of the stick that accommodates adding it to a tripod. Using a lower profile tripod would be preferred as the expanding stick certainly increases top heaviness as one lengthens the pole; I would not use this product for a mounted photo/video recording device that is heavier than a cell phone or small action camera, unless you're using the stick at its shortest lengths. There is also a 1/4" threaded male connector/screw positioned at the very tip of the stick for device or coupling attachment mounting. An expandable cell phone mounting adapter comes with this selfie stick, which can be rotated from vertical to horizontal photographing/videoing positions.Extra felt pressure on one's hand & wrist really shows up when the selfie stick is fully extended, and the grip area (base of the stick) has a non-slip wrapping that only extends about 6". I would recommend that this be modified to a length of around 10" so that the user can better grip the stick at a higher position on the base section as the pole length is extended. This upward hand movement is to be expected for balance compensation when the stick is expanded -- especially when a cell phone or action camera has been attached at the far end of the telescoping stick.I am reluctant to recommend this lengthy selfie stick given the current rather high price point and the product's, in my personal opinion, rather limited application. Others may certainly have a differing opinion.
