RubbermaidBrilliance® Round Leak Proof Food Storage Containers, 3 Piece Set

A little expensive for the product but it is ok.

We’ve been using Rubbermaid Brilliance for four years now and all of our containers look like new still except for two of them. The instructions say that acid rich foods can cause staining and I assume this is what happened, because 2 out of the 42 pieces we own have faint, permanent drip marks inside. However, we never really avoid putting anything into them on purpose and I’m sure we’ve had acidic foods in all of them at one point.The seal is highly trustworthy and we place liquids into our cooler or lunch bag, without hesitation, knowing they won’t leak. The seals themselves are thick, though, so when you open the container a lot of liquid can accumulate in and around/under it so we have to catch the drips into the container before taking the lid away fully. The thick seal also means you can’t fill the container with liquid up too high, because the seal takes up some of the space and will push the liquid out. (Hate that part of the design.)We’ve been washing them in the dishwasher daily with no issues.They’re strong and hold up well when we travel with them.Lastly, regarding the round shape, I held this up to our square Brilliance containers and I’m not sure I see the need for this shape. By rounding off the edges, I get less space inside the container but it takes up the same amount or more space in my cabinet.

First things first, the listing is a little misleading. It states 6 pieces which you might assume means 6 containers and two of each size, but no, this is a set of 3 but the lids count as a 'piece'.Aside from the above, I am pleased with my order. The sizes are fairly generous and will accommodate my leftovers well. As a family we tend to have a lot leftover every dinner time and I really hate food waste so we got in the habit of using bowls covered with a plate. This method is fine but you can run out of available crockery to eat from!This set will remedy that to an extent, and i'll order another set if everything continues to be fine. Rubbermaid is a household name and I was expecting good quality and my expectations were met. The lids fit well so far and are microwave and dishwasher proof. We shall see how well these last over time, but so far so good.

Likes:- clear plastic containers that lets you see inside easily- lids with silicon/rubber gaskets that seals really well- dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe, also stain resistant; I'd still put my tomato or cumin based foods in glass containers thoughDislikes:- plastic kind of on the thin side - the edges could crack/chip when dropped, especially right out of the freezer- the containers do not fully "nest" inside each other when not in use; I think this would have been a sensible design- kind of tricky to clean the lid with the gasketOverall good containers, but could be better.

I've found the sizes very versatile for leftovers, and taking food on the go. Dishwasher, microwave, as well as freezer safe. These are lightweight, yet a sturdier plastic than other food storage containers I've tried. I've found their claim to be 100% leak free true. I've taken soups on the go in these with no leakage issues. They wash up well, and keep their "new", clear, stain free look. As far as plastic storage options go, I've found these to be one of the better quality ones I've tried. Very happy with my order.
