Top Gear - The Complete Specials Box Set [DVD] [UK Import]

I love Top Gear. This collection has all of the adventures. Fun to watch. Just make sure your player can play region code 2. My player is region free so it works just fine. You can purchase a region free play on Amazon. Very inexpensive.

There is nothing to dislike about this. My only real complaint would be during the original Top Gear, they may have not been considered specials, but there were a lot of episodes that were focused on one specific topic that could have been included.WARNING: I recommend buying a cheap external DVD drive for a laptop or something. Because this is from the UK the region is different and will not play on American DVD players unless specified. I had an extra external drive and changed the region in the properties. I suggest the extra external drive because after switching "X" amount of times it will lock that drive to a specific region. That means either you will have a dedicated UK DVD player or no device (again) to watch the DVDs on.

Great set of dvd’s. If you are a fan of Top Gear I recommend picking this one up.

THIS IS FOR REGION 2! (as warned)Before ordering, I checked online for my Blu-Ray model number and yes, it was region free so said all the ads. Get the disks... and no, it won't play. Find the Sony manual and no, it isn't region free like all the ads say, and none of the "hacks" work to make it region free.BUT I also have my Mac hooked to my TV and it played it like a champ.So figure that out before ordering.Other than that, these are my favorite parts of Top Gear. Plus Top Gear in America was only an hour usually, so it was edited. These have parts I have never seen before which are great.Can't recommended enough.

This is a Region 2 locked set with copy protection via scramble. That being said common media players for PC like VLC bypass both and are completely legal.you know what else is legal in both the U.S. and U.K.?Transformation of storage medium.Anyways assuming you're in Region 2 or intend to use a computer that doesn't care, this is actually a really nice set. 2 discs per tray, quality trays, clean box. Clearly a hold over from the time when people actually cared about making Boxsets usable.

I took a chance and bought it hoping our Sony machine would be one of the fluke ones it worked in.... No such luck. I was going to order a new player specifically to watch these DVDs, but had the GENIUS idea to try it on my son's cheap Chinese "Arafuna" DVD player he uses for school. BEHOLD THE MAGNITUDE OF MY GENIUS!!!! It worked, and now we are laughing our way through all the specials, which are truly the best part of the show.

You have to change the region code

My go-to show to watch when nothing else is on or I just need something on in the background. Yes, these DVDs are formatted for a different region, but thankfully, my portable DVD player is regionless. This means that I'm a happy little clam.
