Good quality
The microscope work pretty good, although plastic covered frame seems to be very sturdy.

Modern technology and Science for all ages
I was brought up using the old school single eye-piece microscope so this MatataStudio microscope is light years ahead. It comes in a really neat zipped carrier with foam inserts, includes colourful instructions with pictures, includes a rechargeable battery, charging cable, HDMI cable (so you can link it to a computer and 10 sample slides with a great selection of plant and insect specimens. Set up is super easy; just pop the battery in the base (see photo), plug the USB charger cable in - quick press of the on/off button (next to where the charger lead goes in), a little green light comes on and within seconds the LCD screen lights up and you are ready to explore. One of the best things about this product is the 7 inch LCD touch screen - look at my photos - the magnified specimens in glorious colour. The LCD screen angle can be adjusted so that the kids and I can all see the image - no need to take turns to peer down an eye-piece. The 4 adjustable lenses plus a mounting stage that can be adjusted in height as well as moved from side to side ; plus it has physical measuring scales horizontal and vertical on the stage as well as touch measure on the screen - its incredible. I've only found a few minor negatives - there were no clear sample slides to add your own specimens - but I am sure I can buy them somewhere; and there doesnt seem to be a stop to avoid the lens hitting the glass slide. There are so many adjustments to play with from top/bottom lighting to touch screen magnification so I am still learning my way around it - but so far I am very impressed with it - and I know the kids cannot wait to view their own specimens.

Brilliant Piece of Kit
This is a review of the MatataStudio MT3-5 Wireless Digital microscope with 7'' Touch Screen. At the time of posting this review this product was priced at £439.99. I’ve not owned a decent microscope since I was a child. I’ve always been fascinated with seeing the structure of tiny things. This microscope is supplied in a soft foam zipped storage case, together with a rechargeable battery, USB-A to C cable, USB_C to HDMI cable, a box of 10 prepared biological slides, and a multi-language user guide. On first installing the battery it must be initialised by plugging in the USB cable into a charger socket for a couple of seconds. I left the cable in while testing the microscope to fully charge the battery. Next job was to download the app to my laptop and Android phone. This microscope has to many functions to list here. I like the slide stage with the double knurled knob to move the slide stage side to side and back and forward. And there is a spring loaded lever to hold the slices securely on the stage. The 4 lenses turn and locked in position nicely. The quality of photos will depend upon the quality of the specimen being examined. With a good specimen the photos are all clear and sharp. I’ve also taken a water sample from my garden pond in a bucket. I wanted to post a video of the pond life with this review, but the tiny critters that were active were all moving way too fast for me to even focus on. I think I’ll have better luck in summer when everything has warmed up and the total pond life has increased. I like that the microscope has a top light and a bottom light and the brightness of both can be adjusted. I’ve been using the top light to look at a couple of very small pieces of amber I have with insect inclusions (see attached photos). The ant photo is of one of the included prepared slides. Other slides include flower and plant parts. Photos and videos are stored on the included 8Gb TF (microSD) memory card. I cannot find any reference to the maximum size of memory card that can be used, but my photos are approx. 3.2Mb so the card should hold over 2,000. As well as the 4 lenses there is also a knob to adjust the digital zoom from 1X to 20X to focus right in on a sample. The touch screen is sharp and clear and if that’s not big enough the microscope can be plugged into a computer via the USB-C cable or to a TV with the HDMI cable. I really like this microscope and the microscopic world that’s once again opened for me. This brilliant product has rekindled my fascination with the tiny world all around us.

A very impressive, up to x1,600 magnification, touch screen, Wi-Fi microscope. Ideal for teaching.
When I was at school, many years ago, back in the 1970's, we had microscopes, but they were nothing like this technically advanced piece of kit from Matata Studio. Comparing the MT3-5 microscope with the microscopes we used in the biology lab back then, is like comparing a Tesla with a Morris Minor. In those days we had to take it in turns to have a 5-10 second 'look' through the teacher's 'powerful' x200 magnification microscope, and then draw what we'd seen in our exercise books. With this microscope the students can form a semi-circle behind the teacher, watch all the action on the 7" crystal clear, touch screen on the microscope or better still, watch it on a monitor or larger screen TV, via the micro-USB to HDMI lead, or simply print off screenshots to but in their work books. The MT3-5 microscope comes with a really robust, extremely well padded, carrying bag, a USB-A to USB-C charging lead, large rechargeable battery that fits under the device, a HDMI lead for connecting up to a larger screen, a box with 10, pre-prepared glass slides, and an 8GB micro SD card, that on my unit was pre-installed in the slot on the side of the microscope. (I wasted a good 5 minutes looking for it in the case) My daughter is in her final year of teacher training at Uni, and I know this microscope is going to be such a help to her next year when she's trying to teach a class of 7-10 year olds about the wonders of Tardigrade's (Google it) in their biology lessons. I think this great little, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connectable microscope may just be perfect for keeping their attention, because, today's kids just love a screen. Very happy to recommend

Nicely made…
This is nicely made and simple to use. It is not cheap, but for its intended audience, a school or educational setting, it feels like a fair price. One of its best features is the crystal clear display, which of course can be seen by many people at once. However, for me, that was something i didn’t enjoy for personal use. I felt detached from the image i was seeing, like it could simply be any old image i had searched on the internet and viewed in my phone. I felt separated from the fact that this was something real right in front of me. I feel peering into the eye piece of a traditional microscope a more ‘real’ experience. Height adjustment and positioning of the slide was silky smooth, but i found it hard to actually locate the specimen and get a focused image on the display. I was hunting around and it felt more random than i would have liked. No doubt this would improve with practice. The storage case is nice, but fairly lightweight and more of a dust cover. I would have really liked the inclusion of some blank slides for viewing my own samples. Once i had viewed the ten samples provided, i was thinking… ok, what now? Despite a few negative points, i do feel this is a good unit and worth buying if your situation can make use of it.

A really modern take on microscopes!
I've not used a microscope since I was a kid, so I'm admittedly not in a position to review this on a professional level, but if you want the opinion of a total newbie who's just diving in and seeing what it can do, I've been really impressed by it! It's an absolute breeze to set up and use, basically no setup needed at all actually, and the controls are really clear and easy to understand. Camera and screen quality are both excellent and are a huge improvement over the more traditional method of looking through the lens instead, giving you an easier way of viewing. It's also clearly much better for group viewing, especially with the HDMI connection allowing you to connect to an even bigger screen (obviously perfect for classroom use). If preferred, you can also connect it to your phone wirelessly and use their app instead. There's two lights built into it which are great for different situations, one on top shining down on the sample, and another shining upwards from the bottom which is better suited for transparent/translucent samples. Although I'm no microscope expert, the 1200x magnification seems like more than enough for most uses outside of professional settings, almost definitely enough for the suggested classroom usage at least! I really can't see any clear flaws with this microscope, if you're looking for something more convenient than a traditional microscope with plenty of digital functionality, this is absolutely a great choice to go with!

Totally awesome and mind blowing microscope
Ok, I received this digital microscope for free through the Amazon Vine Voice program to try and then write a review, and this review is through the eyes of someone who has never owned or used a digital microscope before, and what a real treat this has been. The microscope comes in zipped bag that has foam inserts to hold all the contents in place and it does this really well. Before doing anything, read the instruction booklet first to familiarise yourself with the microscope and the accessories, this will help you get off to a good start. It comes with a rechargeable battery that you slot into the base of the microscope, you then use the supplied USB A to USB C cable to charge the battery, but at the same time you can use the microscope while it's charging. There's a little red led next to the connection port and this goes out when fully charged. And now this is where the fun really begins. Press and hold the button on the back until the display comes on, you are now ready to insert your first slide, if you've read the manual you'll know how to do this. Out of the ten slides I picked the daphnia fly to start with and was just amazed at the detail that came up on the screen. There are various ways to move the slide, back and forth, side to side and up and down, this is what brings the subject into focus, start with the shortest scope first till you have the subject in view and in focus, then you can one of the small buttons on the front to zoom in and out, then try the next scop to get a closer look and then the third scop to magnify to an insane amount. It also comes with a cable to connect it to your TV or computer, I connected it to my big smart TV and used the slide with human blood sample for this, mind blowing detail and each cell is so clear. It does come with a 8gb memory card, and this is actually already inserted in the microscope so don't panic if you can't find it in with the accessories, like I did. There are lots of settings and all these are explained in the manual so I won't go over them. The one thing this does not come with is blank slides, but I have ordered 100 of these from Amazon for just under £9, but the prepared slides you do get means you can use this microscope right away. I really am impressed with the digital microscope and I don't mind admitting that it blew my mind to the extent that I got goose bumps from what I was seeing, when you see the microdot of a thing on the slide and then see it magnified in such close clarity you'll understand what I mean. Would I recommend??? I most certainly would, at the age of 60 it's educated me in a world that I never knew existed.

Such detailed fun.
Wish the Zoom range was larger and the camera of higher resolution But I see that if you want that, it’s a level higher or (+) £100 on the cost. But it’s still excellent for what you get. No need to faff about with cleaning optics, or an image mismatch in the eyepiece vs the screen (there’s only the screen). Just place element, after prepping your slides (which you have to buy separate, because you only get pre-prepped examples); adjust position and magnification level and record findings as photos or videos. Such fun, seeing microscopic details of various samples/specimens and objects (with the top light). Careful when moving the stage with specimen on, if you zoom in too close, you could break a slide. Wanted to -1 star for this. What’s great is you can connect your microscope to a larger screen. And if you have one of those wireless HDMI transmitters, could be great for using in a teaching or showcase setting. Or just observe using a larger higher resolution screen. Useful for newbies, even professionals(?). This was £339.99 at the time of ordering. There was a £60 voucher, which would’ve brought the price to £279.99. Making this a very affordable digital option! The carrying handle on the storage case, would be better on the other size (vertical, package opening size), which would make getting this out of the package box less awkward too…

Great flor classes! Works perfectly!
This is perfect for classroom settings, teaching or any home study. It works just as well as you would expect it to, the instructions are wonderful, very thorough and are easy to follow and learn by! Unbeatable quality within the entire piece, the slides and extras. The picture quality is incredible, easy to adjust and clear as a picture with no discrepancies or questions on what is being shown! This is perfect for looking at small particles or cells, the magnification is impressive. The slides are easy to take in and out as well as whatever else you are placing under the lens to look at. It is light weight and easy to move, carry or store while having just enough weight for not falling or tipping over when in use! It is a bit pricey but well worth the value in what you get along with the quality.

Impressionnant!

Amazing Microscope for All Ages!
The MT3-4 Digital Microscope is an incredible piece of technology that has opened up a whole new world of discovery for me and my family. The 7-inch screen is a fantastic feature, providing a large, clear view of the specimens. The 1200X magnification is powerful enough to see amazing details, and the 5MP CMOS sensor delivers sharp images. I love that it's compatible with Windows, Mac, Pad, and Phone, making it versatile and easy to use with different devices. The 3D stage is a great addition, allowing for precise and detailed examination of samples. This microscope is perfect for kids and adults alike, and it's been a wonderful tool for educational exploration and hobby use. I highly recommend it!

Sehr beeindruckendes Mikroskop
