RC Truck 1/10 VORTEKS 2wd Stadium Truck RTR with Smart Battery & Charger, Purple, ARA3205ST2

After spending a ton of time researching and trying to make sure I got a quality RC car, I ended up going with this. It's worth the extra $50-60 you'd spend over cheaper cars. Look up this car on youtube and you'll see several pro RC hobbyists giving more in depth reviews. For the price you really can't beat it in terms of durability and play. It's not the fastest RC, but it's great for anyone new to the hobby. It was fast enough to control, but not so fast I was constantly smashing into things. I asked my son what he thought about upgrading it (better battery and parts) and he said it was fine just how it is. That's a win as far as I'm concerned. There are upgrades you can get for it, and I do want to get a second battery. The battery seems to last fine on the lowest speed setting, but it has died quickly each time I switched it to the full speed setting. It's fun and gets us outside to play for a good 30min. at least before we have to pick up and go recharge. Well worth it in my opinion.

The steering on the vorteks is as good as it gets for the price of the vehicle. I have absolutely zero problems with steering issues and this RC rarely if ever flips over due to steering issues.

Nice car but needs a brushless motor

It's a fantastic Arrma product already have the Gorgon real similar just as fast around 24 miles an hour right out of the box you're going to run 2s LiPO batteries don't even mess with the nickel metal hydrate their garbage if I could have bought it without it if that was an option I would have done that and save $30 so find it without the battery run 2s batteries you'll be good then eventually throw a brushless motor in it it'll be a super fast basher

Hate to give less than five stars to Arma, but my package arrived without the battery and used. I purchased brand new and received a very used vehicle. The car looks great. I don’t know how it drives, but it looks really cool.

This is a fantastic way to get yourself or your kids into hobby-grade RC vehicles. This is not a toy-type RC that cannot be repaired once it's been damaged in a crash. That said, this truck is incredibly durable. The included batters leave a bit to be desired, but it is a non-lipo and it's free. I'd say for a kid's first RC it's plenty sufficient though. Another good thing about this RC is it's upgradeable to a degree. First upgrade path is to use a 2s Lipo. That performance boost will be quite noticeable and very welcome to the under who wants to go a bit faster. Beyond that, for the avid tinkerer, you can replace the power system and radio fairly easily to get the truck to "brushless" which would allow the use of a 2s to 3s lipo for even more power. If that's your end goal though, you'd honestly be better off just starting with the 223s version with AWD. The upgrade path from this truck to brushless costs nearly the same as just buying the 223s outright.

Update: the included NIMH battery will not run the throttle. Only the steering works. I've tried charging the battery and it seems to be fully charged. I have the green light. The throttle works for less than 10 seconds and then won't work again. I don't know if there's something wrong with the battery or charger, but I would not recommend purchasing the kit that comes with the battery for extra money because the battery sucks. Just plain sucks! Car is nice. S120 charger and 3300 NIMH battery are worthless. I updated the firmware on the charger and it still doesn't give me the blue light when plugged into a quick charge 20 watt adapter or a 30 watt adapter. I have tried several quick charge adapters that have more than enough power to give this thing a blue light and it just won't come on. So I'm stuck charging a battery that's going to take 6 hours. Luckily I just switched it to lipo and am using EC3 connector. The included battery and charger should be taken off the market.

Gutes Einsteiger-Set! Der Truggy ist gut verarbeitet und Robust. Der Nihm-Akku ist für den Anfang ausreichend, mit 2S LIPO sogar deutlich Druckvoller! Es empfiehlt sich dann definitiv die Wheeliebar

Lo compré sin saber mucho de especificaciones de autos rc, me gustó la calidad de sus materiales, a pesar de ser motor cepillado y de tracción trasera es muy veloz, lo más sorprendente es su estabilidad, puede ir a toda velocidad y curvear sin preocuparse porque se vuelque. En un futuro cambiaré por su kit brushless

Ein schnelles und stabiles Auto, aber nach der ersten Fahrt auf einer Schotterstraße kommt es zum Bruch des oberen und unteren Querlenkers, ohne dass es zu einem Aufprall oder Überschlag gekommen ist. Möglicherweise ein Produktionsfehler.

Bereits das zweite Fahrzeug, auch dieses nach der zweiten Fahrt nicht mehr voll funktionsfähig. Lenkung geht nur noch einseitig.
