Lightweight, Sturdy Scooter!
I bought this scooter for my wife to use on a cruise vacation. Before selecting the SNAPnGO I researched reviews on Amazon and other websites. I wanted a lightweight scooter that was foldable, had long battery life, was well built, but was compact enough to be used in airports and cruise ships. After a couple of months of use, I can report that the SNAPnGO fills the bill almost perfectly! The scooter is very well built and easy to assemble. The seat is large, well padded and comfortable. For our cruise we removed the arm rests so the seat could be more easily folded over the collapsed front post. (Glion even includes an elastic strap to secure the seat on the folded scooter). Unfolding the scooter and reattaching the seat is easy - just unlock the front post, pull it up until it snaps into its running position, install the seat post and set the seat in position. At the airport my wife was able to ride it down the jetway to the airplane. I removed the battery and took it as a carryon into the plane. The airline crew put the scooter in the baggage compartment and it was back on our arrival jetway by the time we got off the plane. (Hint: unlock the battery before entering the jetway to avoid juggling keys at the door of the plane.) The scooter is easy to operate, rides very smoothly and (unlike some other reviews have indicated) is very quiet. Unlike the operation video on Amazon, the model we received has a single throttle lever on the right handlebar and a forward/reverse button on the left handlebar. The seat on our model also has the ability to swivel and lock in any position - a handy feature. The low speed setting was sufficient everywhere we went and handled inclines on the jetways and ship gangways easily. We never taxed the battery - it never went below full on the indicator lights in three days use. We only recharged it once in seven days. The only nit I have is that unlike other competitive models, it does not have a keyed on/off switch. The key locks the battery in place, but the only way to disable the scooter and keep someone from riding off with it when unattended is to unlock the battery and take it with you. So while the wife was shopping for knickknacks I largely babysat her scooter. Should be an easy thing for Glion to add. Bottom line: Very happy with this scooter - recommend it heartily!

PERFECT!!!
This is a perfect scooter for me! I have a severely arthritic hip that cannot be replaced because of other issues, and my mobility has been very negatively impacted over the last year. After extensive research, I purchased this scooter, and it has changed my life! I can get out more and do more with much less fatigue and pain. It is easy to transport as it folds and weighs less than 50 pounds. It turns on a dime, and is so easy to operate. The motor is quite powerful and easily takes me where I need to go. It’s best on hard flat surfaces, not grass or rough terrain. The battery is small and light, and I watch the level closely as I am a larger woman and the battery level goes down faster than it would for a lighter person. It recharges easily, however, and I’ve never run out of juice. Even with my size, it takes inclines easily, and overall, I am so pleased with my purchase. I can go out and do things I hadn’t been able to do before, and that makes me feel so much less limited. The assembly directions were less than ideal, but a quick call to Glion and all issues were cleared up by Dan, a very nice guy. I absolutely love this scooter, plus it’s fun to drive! A top speed of 7 miles an hour means I’m ahead of the pack for a change instead of limping behind. I was looking forward to the art fairs and other summer festivals that I had to miss in the past, but COVID-19 shut all that down. However, I can still go for “walks” with my wife and do other things I had to give up in the past. Well worth every penny, and I don’t have a lot of those! Couldn’t be happier with it.

Paying a premium price for a scooter brings high demands from it.
For the most part, I’m pleased. However, there are a few things that really concern me. I’m a 62-year-old male who suffers from MS and have trouble using my left leg/arm/hand. Pros: • The scooter is built incredibly well. The welded joints, for example, are superb • At the 3rd speed level, it is amazingly fast. It almost makes me want to wear a helmet • The battery life is incredible as well. I can’t give specifics yet, but I received it 2 weeks ago, use it daily, and it just now shows it needs recharged • It’s light (yes, including the lithium battery) and folds up small enough for me to lift in and out of a 2018 Accord trunk (which also houses 2 12” sub-woofers). • Lift the seat off, and it folds by pressing a release lever with your foot • The basket is big enough to carry its charger AND my lunch box Cons: • The motor is weirdly noisy. I expected nearly silent operation, but was somewhat disappointed. It seems the faster you go, the quieter it gets. • It tends to struggle starting on any incline. Sometimes it sits there and “pulses” trying to start • If you’re going up an incline and stop midway, BEWARE! It will tend to drift backwards and by its design, the “Forward” command is disabled if it senses reverse motion. • Likewise, any forward momentum disables the “Reverse” command. This leaves you with one option if you find you’re coasting forward or backward: • The handbrake, which is less effective than one would think. If you have the strength in your left hand, then its not that big of a deal. I do not, and it is • In addition to its only brake, the “Reverse” command is controlled by you left hand • It has induction braking while powered on. Not enough to stop the above scenario, but enough to send you almost flying forward should you be going fast and let go of the “Forward” button • The full-size seat is a bit awkward. I omit the side hand rests, which helps somewhat • The hand bell is obnoxious. If anyone rings mine, I’ll ring their neck!! (kidding) Wish it had: • A single “forward/reverse” switch, on either side. • If its on and not moving, it should “lock” in its place (no gravity coasting) • Manual braking with induction support. If you let off of the “Forward” button, a right-side hand manual/induction brake would be nice In my opinion, the electronic/operation portions do not align, nor measure up to, the design and build of the mechanical aspects of the scooter. It is my hope that a possible future software update or similar may address my concerns. Now, would I buy it again? Probably.

What EASE of use!!!!!
Before I bought my SnapnGo I read every review on Amazon, most of them twice. The neurological disease of Ataxia has been increasingly worsening my ability to walk distances. So about a year ago I bought a Pride Go-Go Sport and it is an extremely good machine servicing me well, getting around Disneyland with my annual pass and anywhere else that requires distance. By the way I am 6’2” and weigh 200 lbs. Please be patient for I am coming to the part of the SnapnGo review. The only real problem with the Pride Go-go was loading and unloading it into my car. Yes it breaks down into four main parts but each is relatively heavy and it takes some motivation to put it together and take it apart. Because of that I was always hesitant to use it. It was a bit too much. That whole scooter weighs assembled about 120 lbs! (The total weight of the SnapnGo is about 52 lbs) So, I started researching light weight scooters that could perform as well but I could easily put in and out of the car without effort. I read everything on Amazon and even called the Glion company. I twice drove to the distributor in San Clemente and checked out the SnapnGo. Instead of being heavy like the Go-Go, the SnapnGo has absolutely no extra weight and is a breeze to load and unload in my car. The Go-Go requires about five motions lifting relatively heavy pieces and putting them together, while the SnapnGo basically needs the seat to be removed and the frame to be put in or out of the car in one easy motion. Viola!!! Now I keep the SnapnGo in my car at all times and do not hesitate to take it out and scoot anywhere I need or want to go. While I had to psych up to use the Go-Go, I use the SnapnGo on the slightest whim. Convenience is not the only thing; the snap and go is also a fine machine. I have now used it many times and really like it’s performance! It is stable, comfortable and can do over 7 miles per hour compared to the Go-Go’s 4.5. I gave it a test run of 11 miles traveling at least 6.5 mph. I am keeping the Go-Go as a back up and for friends to use along with me on the SnapnGo. Of course, there are some minor things I like better on each of the machines. I have found nothing about the SnapnGo that has been unacceptable. To the contrary I am absolutely thrilled at how much more I am prone to grab it out of the car to use. It’s a piece of cake. I must include in this review the excellent assistance I got from Laurie and Robert at the company. They answered my every question and Robert even walked me through a performance issue that got worked out. Excellent folks and support. Laurie made it abundantly clear I could either order directly from the company or from Amazon and that either direction would be the same. So, I went through Amazon and got the scooter in three days. It was amazing how well and secure it was boxed and how easily it came together. No muss, no fuss. I hope you are helped by my own journey through the world of mobility scooters.

If Tesla made scooters it would look like this. Maybe.
I purchased the SNAPnGO on Amazon after an exhaustive investigation of the many mobility scooters to assist with my never ending struggle with MS. What sold me was the weight, folding and storage capability. Amazingly, it folds up to next to nothing. I couldn't see myself in one of those mobility "tanks" transported on the back of vehicles. So I took a chance and boy, did I make the right choice. This thing is rugged, well designed, and pretty quick when you open it up. The tires on this thing have substantial tread so I feel in many normal conditions it will have great traction. No, off-roading is not a good idea. Using the optional bike seat adds to its low profile portability which the far more comfortable deluxe seat limits. However, it isn't for everyone so give it some thought on that. The transport retraction handle is really a work of genius and separates it from the rest. Also, I found that feature to be the easiest to break when an idiot (me) isn't paying attention to retracting it before riding off. Lesson learned the hard way. A panic phone call to Glion customer support was made and they quickly helped me order and replace the part. I plan on giving this thing a workout on a 7 day cruise, which I wouldn't consider going if it wasn't for the freedom the SNAPnGO gives me. Update: Taking the scooter on the cruise it saved my bacon. It was much more walking than I anticipated. I would have struggled terribly ruining the trip. Amazingly, It fit into our stateroom closet seat and all. (see photos) I had a good feeling about it since it fit comfortably along with a baby stroller, 4 suitcases and carry bags into the back (all seats remaining up) of our compact SUV. I received several positive comments from fellow passengers and even crew. However, it's not perfect, seriously, no scooter is. There is a small learning curve on how to effectively ride on some incline surfaces, This requires basically gunning the thing for a running start to climb inclines over 10º. Overall, the way it gives me more freedom to get out, it's a keeper. With all its features, customer support, and performance I give it a solid 5 stars.

Love this scooter!
Lightweight, easy to fold and unfold, and the deluxe seat is super comfortable. Easy to operate. Best value for the money! Update: Two weeks ago spent three 11-12 hour days at Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Universal Studios with my wife, daughter and granddaughter. This scooter handled like a champ. Comfortable (deluxe seat), easy to maneuver in crowds, easy to carry in my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and with battery power to spare at the end of the day. I considered and researched other scooters, and I am so happy I made the decision to buy this one. It made my whole week!

So far i give this scooter 9 stars
I received the scooter and I immediately took it on a trip to Phoenix, AZ. The airline love the light weight of the unit that i drove right up to the door of the plane and was then stored in the cargo area all handled by one person. I attached a picture that show how to lifted it and from where should be handled, took the battery off and the travel seat that was provided by me and carry them with my carry-ons and backpack inside the cabin. Performance was excellent with a bit of weakness going over some bumps where i had to help with the clearance. Where ever I go people will made comments like “I need one of this” I mainly use speed 1 and 2 of the three speed. Passing security was handled professionally by the personnel at check point. I am a bit of part time engineer when i find a product that is close to been perfect. Here is what i think should be improved. There is a build in carrying handle that is to be used to move the scooter from the stand up position using the back wheels while pulling from a handle. The current system is weak for the weight of the unit. The feet rest pads should be improved and change to a folding up version with a lock-up safety pin that will keep them up for as long it is required. There is a lot of good things i would like to express on here but you probably don’t have all night to read them. The use of larger and light weight wheels may improve the performance over bumpy roads. This scooter provide re-discover mobility to people like me that have mobility restrictions and now i found more freedom of being able to join my family on some week-end trips and shopping. Now get a load of this it even fit in my car and i drive a Mini Cooper!
