CURLSMITH Shake & Shine Curl Refreshing Spray (6.6 oz)

It truly is shake and shine! I am growing out my natural grays (2B hair), and they can be dull looking. This creates so much shine! Don't go overboard though...it is an oil after all, and if you're trying to get a maximum amount of days before your next wash, you don't want to add too much oil to your hair. The cost is a bit steep, and I already went through one bottle. But I'm definitely buying again!

I generally love (or my hair does) Curlsmith products so was excited when this came out because I struggle with refreshing my day three-four hair. I thought this would be a holy grail, but instead it was just ok. Save the money and use water and leave-in instead. For reference I have a loose curl pattern on top and a tighter one beneath and it didn't really work on either. I've actually gotten away from using Curlsmith products and tried to simplify my routine. Bottom line, this may work for you, but I think you could give this a pass.

I'll keep this short and sweet. I love all of my CurlSmith products so far and I have a ton but compared to some other refreshing sprays, this one's a little sticky and gives me a cast on my dry hair, which I don't love. I'm still on a learning curve regarding wavy hair management so that might be part of the problem, but I don't think so.

Nice product, use sparingly. I’m new to styling my curls. I haven’t gotten great results yet but I’m still learning how to refresh my curls. I’d recommend it if you’re experienced in styling natural curls. Patience and practice will make this a great product for curl refreshing. I really like the scent, however if you’re sensitive to fragranced products you may not like the smell.

Drying and frizzy

The product left my hair feeling great. Curls/waves were refreshed. BUT, I could not get past the strong fruity smell. It's like fruit that's spoiled, and it lasts all day. I wish they could make a fragrance-free version. I opted to return because the bad smell outweighed the benefits to my hair. Too bad. :(

Smells great and very easy to use! Really works to create curls.

I’ve got damages 2C - 3A hair and this definitely helps on the days I need a re fresh. Doesn’t leave my hair greasy or sticky like I’ve found with other spreads and helps re define my curls, reduce frizz and leaves my hair soft. High quality, smells nice and re defines my curls

Love this spray! It’s perfect for a perm. Refreshes my curls back into shape in between washes. It’s light. Doesn’t weigh on my hair and doesn’t make the hair oily afterwards. Very subtle scent
