Comfortable and well made
I love the color and breathable fabric. It was the perfect length for my 5’2” self. Bonus for me but a negative for anyone much taller than I am.

Perfect theme outfit for trip to Salem, Massachusetts
I went on a trip to Salem, Mass., and I love a theme! It’s where Hocus Pocus was filmed and the site of the Salem Witch Trials. So naturally I needed a colonial/Puritan dress. This dress is comfortable, I packed it in my suitcase and didn't have any issues with wrinkles. I'm on the larger side and I felt comfortable in this dress, not too tight. I ordered an XL. And ... it has POCKETS! It washed fine after we got home. I purchased the bonnet separately.

Nice enough, but material not what I was expecting.
I'm mostly pretty happy with this dress. The fit is pretty good. I'm 122-ish lbs, 5'4", B cup, and I ordered a small. I might have liked to see if a medium would be better for me, as the shoulder-blade area is slightly tight when doing certain motions, but it really isn't too hindering. Keep in mind though, that this fabric has almost no give at all. Since you have the tightening versatility of a waist sash and corset front, I think I'd recommend going up a size if you're on the fence. Still, I wore it all day yesterday without the shoulder tightness being too much of an issue.I will also say that I was initially very excited that this is said to be 98% cotton. Because of that, I was expecting the fabric to feel much different than it does. Maybe I wasn't aware of how much variation there could be in the feel, or quality, of cotton... but this isn't what I thought it would feel like. It has a rough-ish texture (though not scratchy or irritating at all). It certainly isn't soft. While it's also thinner than I expected, it's at least somewhat dense, and almost sort of stiff. It doesn't feel like it would rip easily. I got the blue version, and am able to wear black undergarments without it showing through.Overall, I'd recommend trying this dress out, as long as you're not putting a lot of hope in a typically soft cottony feel!

I need to send back. Dress doesn’t fit right. Nothing wrong with it
The dress was exactly what I wanted but unfortunately it didn’t fit my body size. Would order from company again.

Colonial-Inspired Dress
I was very impressed with the high quality fabric and construction of this dress! The fabric is light and breathable. The construction is clearly inspired by colonial fashion, with a pretty lace-up front. My only complaint is the construction of the sleeves, which are not very flattering. Due to the short length of the sleeves, the ruffles puff out over your elbows, causing your arms to appear shorter and chubbier. Real colonial dresses usually had longer sleeves, creating a much more flattering look for the arms. However, the ruffles on the sleeve can easily be hemmed or removed, so this is not a deal-breaker for me.

great for our teen and POCKETS!
our teenage daughter needed a "1900s costume" for a project at school, and this worked great for her! The sizing and cut were flattering, and it had POCKETS, which was a must-have for her and hard to find in others.

Good but not the best fit
I ordered a Small and I’m 5’2 A cup, the shoulder/armpit area of this dress was way too wide and fit very awkwardly.
