Fender Pure Vintage Amplifier Handle - Black, 1-Screw,

Exactly the right part to replace a surface rusted handle on my USA Navy Blues special edition amp. High end replacement part kept me from having a devalued amp just because the original amp cover allowed for corrosion to happen. I now wax the metal every time before I put it away to keep moisture from ruining the finish. Regular car wax like pure carnuba is fine or get some clean grease, but with wax I’m less concerned if it touches the blue tolex. Worth every penny good value for the price. Functions as should.

Replacing the handle on my '76 Fender Twin was a breeze with this authentic USA-made part. If you're not sure if this is the right replacement part for your amp model, the critical dimension to check is the distance between the mounting holes, which is about 7-3/4". Anything greater will make it difficult to get your hand under the strap to pull it up, and anything less will cause the strap to bulge rather than lay flat when not in use. The strap has a slotted hole at each end that provides about an inch of slack for lifting when installed correctly. Also, if you're careful not to use excessive downward force when removing the old handle's bolts, the existing spiked nuts in the top of the cabinet will likely remain in place and can be reused. In my case, the new bolts fit the existing nuts perfectly and that saved a lot of time. Otherwise, I would have had to remove the chassis straps and take out the heavy amplifier section to get into the cabinet to replace those nuts.

This is a genuine Fender part. Anyone who has owned a Fender amplifier will recognize the style and the construction of this handle. It is, of course, exactly what I hoped it would be! Don't be fooled by imitations - a picture can be misleading as to the size and quality of the part. This is worth what it costs, in my personal opinion.
